Have been using this camera since 2003 for work - taken many photos - works quite well under all lighting conditions. Has no IS but takes very few blurry shots. Takes AA batteries too! Overall, abit bulky compared to nowadays cameras but good value for money! Problems: Takes Smartmedia memory I believe - harder and harder to find. Nope - pretty good camera!

Top camera for 2mp, image quality is top stuff. I bought a 5mp kodak and I wish I hadnt, the 2mp still felt better. I see this camera is now only £35+ on ebay and I think anyone on a very low budget would be happy with this as its got decent menus (not stupid and cuddly style), its strong and robust. Pictures are very good colour and sharpness wise I found Problems: There is one problem and thats the lens cover can be flicked off by mistake. Sometimes this is annoying.

I totally agree with Grumple Dumple's opinion. The image quality of color and sharpness is the best among the digital cameras I ever used. Although it only has 2.0 mp, it's really very very good and special. Problems: The only concern is poor AF capability in low light of indoor shooting.

The Fujifilm Finepix 2600 was the very first digital camera I ever bought/owned. That was like...I don't know... 3 or 4 years ago. Since then I have gone overboard and collected/bought almost 20 digital cameras including some of the best regarded and more expensive models on the market. And I just wanted to say that although I own all of those cameras I just mentioned (many of which are nothing short of amazing in what they can do) the Finepix 2600 always had something 'special' about it that ...

Ive had my camer for 3 years. Built tough. Takes the best pictures of the 3 digital cams I have and one of em is a Dimage 7i ! this camera puts deep and lively color in pictures..... even flash pictures look true to color. Awesome camera ! Problems: Just slow on start up but not too slow. Refresh from flash is slow but again..... not too slow.

Great camera...but Lens Cover message issue Problems: same problem as NitFix - Lens Cover message when lens cover is open to second click. This is a major problem.

I've had this camera for practically a year now. It is easy to use, and if you are a beginning user, there are more than enough options for you. The camera is quite small, so that's a big advantage too. However, I'm really picky about that kind of stuff ;) so I'm now thinking of buying a Konica KD-400Z :D Problems: The only serious problem I've encountered is when I open the lens cover, the camera sometimes thinks it is still closed. So I can't take a picture :( But no other Fuji 2600z user ...

I bought a refurbished one from Buy.com during one of their 4 hour sales under $130. In my opinion this is the deal of the century! This is a great point and shoot camera. One of the better ones in it's class regardless of price. The camera and outstanding cycle times and very low click to shutter delay. The only knock is mediocre low light sensitivity so indoor shooting in poor lighting conditions is not this camera's strong point. Problems: I did experience a few startup problems. 1. ...

Decent little starter P&S for the price though pretty weak on features for anyone with any kind of advanced photography skills it feels pretty stifling and can be frustrating to get it to do what you want when you want. The delay from pressing the shutter to when the camera takes the picture is a real frustration--though is probably the same with almost all cameras in this price range/features catagory. I've missed a lot of shots of my kids where there were fleeting moments of action or ...
