Opinion: Simple to use for me a novice. Bought after sending back a Ricoh RDC-6000. Compared to the Rocoh, pictures are very sharp and good colour. Batteries still have power after filling two 8 mb smartmedia cards and downloading pictures. No noticeable time lag after pressing shutter button to picture being taken, unlike Ricoh. I am impressed with the camera. So is my husband who likes is old 35 mm Petre.
Problems: Only complaint is the compression on the 8 mb smart media cards. At the middle and lower settings the Ricoh saved more photos. I have an extra 8 mb card, (which was enough for the Ricoh), but will have to buy a 16 now.
Opinion: Just got the camera. My first Digital. Takes very clear pictures. I found the LCD was pretty dark for any low light inside pictures (brightness adjust didn't help). Also the optical view finder was hard to use and was noticably off on any pictures closer than about 5 feet. The Auto focus works very well. I will have to buy a much bigger memory card. 8MB = only 9 pictures on highest quality and resolution.
Opinion: I bought this camera after selling my Kodak DC200, and I am very impressed with the image quailty and ease of use. Image quality is superb, especially outdoors and the design is excellent for carrying around, with the sliding lens cover a plus.
For the beginner to amateur photographer this an excellent camera at a very resonable price. The equilavent Olympus camera is £100 (around $150) more.
Problems: None.
Opinion: I've replaced my old Fujifilm DX-7 with FinePix 2400Z... really really good quality of pictures and colors, a must for this price. Excellent quality optical zoom 3x. For me, the best choice price/quality (i've tested Sony and Casio models)
