I actually picked up a FinePix 2200 which is a renumbered 2300 sold via Dixons, PC World and a few other select retailers (renumbered for the benefit of their 'find the same product cheaper anywhere else' promotions) and identical to the 2300 but supplied with a 16Mb card instead of the 8Mb. This is a great camera for quick snaps, and after I'd fitted it with a 128Mb SmartMedia card it was capable of taking 166 pictures @ 1200x1600. A set of four 2000mAh rechargeables also means that I can ...

Its a very good first digital camera and is a perfect replacement for the family auto-focus 35mm. The interface is simple, straightforward, and quick to use. The pictures are very good for the price and having a USB connection is an excellent feature. I do a bit of web design and this is perfect for gathering images. Problems: Very poor images in low light. If you're not in bright sunlight or don't have a tri-pod, you're going to have a great deal of trouble getting clear pictures.

This is to the person who posted about how good the digital zoom is on this camera. Since in the highest resolution mode you have no digital zoom) i would spend a little more money and get a camera with optical zoom unless you like brown clusters of pixels that are suppose to be race horses.

Good camera for the price. Night City light shots (with a mini-tripod) gave great shots with no noise(I had problems with noise on the olympus D100). Easy to install software and use on the PC. Problems: As pointed out in early postings the colors tend to be flatter & slightly bluish( in very bright sunlight with no shade) when compared side by side with another dig camera. The problem is keeping the camera still in low light shots ( with no flash). You throw out a lot of blurry shots. If ...

Compared to the HP 315, this camera is 2-steps below. Although this camera takes a bit above average pictures, I decided on the HP 315 after conducting a side by side comparison. Problems: Flat colors.

Lets get serious kids. The camera is worth every penny BUT there are lots of negatives, in my opinions. The camera took some of the best photos I ever took , but prepare to take many and while sharp , on closer inspection the resolution does not equal other better 2mi pixel cameras.Too dark too often, too grainy too often and not a good far away camera. However it woke me up to and for fuji thats for sure. Problems: no lens cover. poor low light camera and a bit over rated. However , for the ...

This is an excellent firist level entry into fuji dijital photographry. Just point and shoot. I feel soory for users who are thinking about buying 2200 (dixons) Problems: The flash is about a bit erratic at times in the auto node, chosing(most times neayby subjects need lit by flash). to respond indifferently by not firing the flash when it should be fired

Bought for about a month for SGP$500, not a bad deal. It gave overall good quality. Outdoor and Indoor with Flash are good. Macro not very sharp sometimes. Problems: The slowest shutter is only 1/2 second, not enough for night scenes.
