I finally found THE way to print with Epson Photo R3000 at best of its color rendition. Of course this is my experience and I am glad to have a solution (kg of waste photo paper to find) I am just asking if anyone in the world had the same problems. To reach this conclusion, the big applications, adobe's LR and PS, are not giving same results. Spending time and wasting paper, I made all controls as suggested in Epson and Adobe documentation, like setting printer or application manages colors...

I'm finally biting the bullet and buying a professional printer. I want larger than A4, so have gone for A3+ and have then narrowed my selection to these two models (Canon Pixma Pro-1 or Epson Stylus Photo R3000) on the basis of perceived suitability for B+W printing, as I expect to fully appreciate the additional black tones present in these two printers. Expected workload is sporadic heavy use. When the heavy is on, I expect to be printing perhaps 100+ pages per week. When it's off, I'm...

I can't figure out why I'm prompted to change from glossy printing ink to matte printing when i'm printing the exact same image, exact same settings. the only change is when I print a large photo (13x19) from 8.5x11.

I've been having all kinds of problems getting a nice print on thick watercolor paper and specifically Luxe A6 envelopes from Paper Source.  My Epson Stylus R3000 used to print great on watercolor paper using the Ultra Premium Presentation Matte paper setting, and sometimes the Wide Platen Gap setting.  But ever since a few months ago it started degrading severely in quality.  Images look blurry and pixelated with dots in solid colors.  I've tried all maintenance procedures and have full...

I'm a noob and no professional by any stretch, but I've done a fair amount of research and I'm still stuck. I'm printing on "gloss" labels from onlinelabels, inkjet paper. We had an old RX580 that died and the pure black areas were rich and inky... and so far no matter the setting we just can't get the R3000 to print the same labels with the same black depth. They are really dark grey. We aren't using different paper or different graphics, and we don't have any special ICC profiles or...

I'm a documentary filmmaker and photographer. My digital printing has been a seat-of-my-pants endeavor. Sometimes I make great prints, sometimes they suck. I have no idea how to improve a bad print after trying all the usual changes. Sometimes I think it's a simple as the printer set up, but even then the bad prints don't improve.I just bought the R3000 and am really excited to make prints. I'd like to hire someone to spend an hour or two or more with me to help me learn what I don't know.Of...

Hi all-I'm just getting back into photography and am looking for some advice in getting my workflow/setup in order. I currently use a Nikon D7000. Right now I'm working on a Dell Inspiron 1750 laptop, using Photoshop CS5 and Lightroom 4. I have an Epson R3000 printer which, sadly, I have not experimented much with. ComputerIs it workable to continue using my laptop? I have an iMac but don't have Photoshop or Lightroom for it and would probably have to make a definitive choice of PC vs Mac,...

Hi all,The availability of Lightroom on Linux kept me from completely switching for a long time. Now with Darktable/GIMP and other cool software I have decided to try to make the switch once again.
