I have used several digicams and this is by far the best 2 meg around. I sold it to a friend, and he will not sell it back to me! I miss its ease of use and outstanding images it issues, even in 'point-and-shoot' use, it gives lovely sharp pictures first time and has numerous easy-to-access manual settings. A bit big for some snappers, but beautiful. Problems: None, built like a tank!

Super camera, with excellent picture quality, good lenses and easy to use. Ictures are superb, even on low resolution. Software is good, however USB connection can be problematic if you have some Windows settings switched off. Battery life is good and accessories with camera are good quality. FAR better than the HP215 which I stupidly bought first. Problems: Automatic picture mode can be fooled by sharp white/dark contrasts and auto focus is slow. Makes guesswork of quick picture taking.

Having started as a boy with a box camera in the 1930's and later using various cameras in newspaper photography, I have been astounded by the quality produced by this camera. I too, stuggled with making the decision a year and a half ago. I not only based by decision on what I read online, but I wanted one closely resemblying a 35mm which I have long used, and one that had a hot shoe for flash attachments (I prefer to bounce my flash.) However, the surprising thing was the ability to ...

Wonderful camera and easy to use. The pictures made in standard mode (22 pics per 8mb) are of very good quality. The optical zoom is sometimes when you are making outdoor pics a must. Nevertheless there is a possibility on the camera to see the picture on the screen even when there is a lot of sunlight. The software delivered with the camera is ok and easy to use. It is a very good camera and a pleasure to work with.

After two years of use I have found the Epson 850Z to be a marvelous tool. Control layout is sensible as is the design of the menu system. All menus are viewable through the LCD and logically accessible with the control buttons on the camera back. Lens is very sharp though there is some distortion at close quarters with wide angle. Image quality is good overall, with good color rendition and acceptable resolution. Battery life, at first short, was markedly improved with use. Inclusion of a ...

Great camera, never expected to get the results I have gotten. Using an Epson Photo Stylus 1200 printer, and the ability to refine the photos, the results are at least as good as anything processed from roll film. Easy to use. Great results, what more do you need Problems: Slow Zoom

Great camera and I would recommend it, but there are some cons the buyer should be aware of, as listed in the problems section. Problems: Changing default sound capture options is a little awkward, and given that it is on a seperate dial menu, the lens motor extends and retracts the lens to do so. This has an ill effect on battery life. LCD display is disrupted while the camera processes the images. I would prefer to be centering the camera for the next shot while the camera is writing the ...
