I have been using my QVR-4 for about 3 years. I really like the control positions and ease of use. I really like the "plus-minus" exposure ajustment. It allows for all kinds of situations and for some creativity without having to go to a manual camera setting. The software allows for some easy resizing on the pc but the camera can acomplish this as well. I have taken this camera everywhere and I have some wonderful memories. Even took it parasailing over water. The "alarm" feature allows me ...

I have the camera for about 2 months. I think it is a great camera for I can't believe the quality of pictures I took. It just almost perfect for the clearity of image and it's color. I think it's very easy to use also. I just love this camera. Problems: So far none.

...lucky to have one. Never let it drop. That aint be good for any camera! Generally the photos are quite brilliant. But for some (in my eyes) unidentified reason not every photograph gets sharp as it could. That means, Image quality is good, but could be "excellent". Actually more Camera than expected. Problems: except the once in a while unsharp image, - none.

I think this camera was a great value for money for me, as I got it for under $500 including a 128MB card (the (3 megapixel!) Ixus V3 (PowerShot S230) I intended to buy first would have cost more.) There are lots of nice features, including 30+ "Best Shot" presets to get you started, but you can still set many parameters manually if you like and store your settings as your own "Best Shot" mode. Other things I liked include the possibility to scale down and crop images, and the possibility to ...

I had an Olympus E-100RS with only 1.5 megapixels, but they were extremely sharp pixels. I have a Sony dsc -707 with megapixels, extremely sharp photos. Macro shots with this camera are sharp, but I am not at all impressed with sharpness and details produced by this camera. It has wonderful features, but the lens lets it down badly. Problems: See above

Mine 4 2 months, repairers 4 2 months! It made a clicking noise and "lens error" message onscreen when lens extended, si I sent it away for repair. Dick Smith Electronics Australia are VERY slow, the repair (dust in lens gears) took about 10 days and the rest of the time DSE was shuttling it around Oz - not good enough! As for the camera - when its working I love it! Image quality is great in all but very low light, have printed some 8" x 12" shots and my frinds are certainly impressed. ...

I also have had this camera for about 3 month and very pleased. The Best Shot mode is great for non-photographers. The resolution and color is outstanding. I wish it had a traditional 4x6 ratio mode setting so I would not have to crop the digital photos for print. Problems: None

Nice camera but repairs leave much to be desired. I have had the camera 3 months and I am very pleased. My photos look miles better than those friends have taken with other cameras. It has more features/flexibility than most other cameras I have come across this size and a great, easy to use user interface that I never appreciated until I used a friend's Canon Powershot which was very poor in comparison. Update: I have lowered my features rating. Previously gave it 5 because of the Best Shot ...

I have the QV-R4 for a few months now, and I'm very satisfied. Image quality is excellent, on the computer screen and on prints (which I gave a lab, not on my home printer), even in A4 size. It gives very good results just pressing the button on the automatic mode, and the "bestshot" option is also useful in special circumstances. The features (like shutting off the flash) are very easy to use. The camera is very small and lightweight, and fits easily into a pocket. I bought the camera for ...
