Looking back at this historic camera, like Juri Zenkevitsch did in his review, I thought I should add another comment or two. I agree with everything Juri wrote about the QV-3500EX. Like many others have written, it was also my first digital for which I paid $600 back in Aug. 2001. Back then, I was preparing for a first trip to China (also first adoption) and wanted to record it all using the new technology. The camera performed well from the start and produced some priceless images. Enroute ...

Just to leave a comment on my camera here, since I'm starting to look for a new one. Yes, yes. At year-2006, 5 years after I bought my Casio QV-3500 EX, which served me very well since that time. It was very reliable all the way through the years I used it. Nothing bad to say about. Maybe little slow on flash usage. Ofc, all the points I gave to it should be treated as for a year-2001 camera model. There are so much new ones around nowdays, but at its time Casio was great. ps. never worried I ...

I have had this camera for over three years with a 1Gb Microdrive/polarising filter/remote control and have taken over 30,000 photographs with it. I have had various other main cameras come and go over time, but this Casio has been a very good companion compact camera. I am looking to replace it in September probably with something from the Canon range. An excellent 2nd camera if you can find an unabused one! I'll leave this one in the glovebox of the car ready to grab for those ...

I've had this camera for over a year now and taken it on two scottish holidays, used it in heavy rain and generally abused it. It has been a joy to use, taking excellent pictures even under extremes on english weather. My mate has an Oly e10 and I think he's wasted £700. There's no visible difference in the pics and my camera fits in my pocket. Problems: Accidently moved the focus area from centre to bottom. As i wasn't using the screen this caused some consternation as focussing became ...

A thoroughly competent camera ... so easy to use ... picture quality is consistently excellent ... must have had mine for a year now - can't imagine life without it!! Problems: It's a pretty ugly looking piece of kit - but who cares?

I have had this camera almost a year. Takes great still pictures but it is too slow to capture cars that are going away from you. You have to take shots coming at you. What is in the lense is not what you get. I had a casio 700 I loved that camera never missed a beat with that one. I have had several people look at this camera and they are unable to get it to capture race cars that are just rolling by. I like the micro-drive it last forever and I have a battery pack that lasts forever. I ...

I borrowed this camera for a weekend to take some shots of my daughter's birthday party. This was my first time use of a digital camera for me. Without reading the manual I was able to use it immediately, but I am an engineer and understand user interfaces. My less techy wife would have had difficulties for sure. Picture quality is great and much better than I ever expected for a digital camera - I still love my Canon EOS 35mm!. The 1 GB Microdrive lasts forever, the battery life is amazing. ...
