I'm a professional photographer and, in my no-working time, I love to use old digital cameras. Problems: This is a good camera. The best in it is the use in high speed values (very good colors); the worst it's the horrible built in flash. Sometimes it doesn't work!

I was given this camera by my father over three years ago and I must say it remains my faithful companion on any outings where I take a camera. The images are first rate and I have taken some photos that have been published in a smallholder magazine - three of which have appeared as front covers. It is excellent for macro shots as well as landscapes. I just can't fault it. It is a brilliant little camera. Problems: Only slight problem is remembering to take off the lens cover before you ...

Jan 2007, see my post below, I'm unable to edit it so have posted this:- still using the camera most days, have changed jobs and am now out of engineering and into building where I have to user the camera more often. I find the powerful flash very useful at this time of year. It's still working fine after thousands of pictures.

I've used this camera for over 4 years and taken thousands of photos. It has never given me an operational problem. The photo quality has been excellent for its resolution. Not only that, it has the amazing ability to make people look photogenic. I will probably soon buy a 7 megapixel camera, but I have waited this long because the camera makes people look good. That itself is worth its weight in gold. The macro feature has given very nice quality. I sometimes photograph 1/64th diecast ...

I bought one on Ebay this week and got it today, I'm going to use it for taking pics of machine tools for my job and had to use it within hours of receving it. I found the menus very easy to understand, when I got home I printed one of the pictures at 9" x 6.75" and the picture quality is very good indeed. I'm really pleased with it. I've been using it now for a few weeks and cannot fault it, I find the powerful flash very good indeed especially when taking pictures in quite dark areas of ...

This camera broke shortly after I bought it in 2000. Neither the company who sold this item, nor the importer could supply me with a new one, requiring a very lenghty repair. Not very good when you are on holiday. I have read similar reports of this camera failing and appalling product support. Not to be recommended, even to your mother in law. Problems: Overexposed photos Totally messed up photos Display went blank

This is our first digital camera, and it made me put away my SLR 35 mm for the first time since 1968. We have taken thousands of pictures and only the Digital delay has caused a frown. But the ease of use is great. The six year olds on my granddaughters' soccer team beg to take pictures this weekend. Most all of the shots where keepers, all where chrisp and clear. Telling them to point and push the little button where the only instructions they needed. The IBM drive is great. Though I ...

I purchased this as my first DC after decades as a film shooter. My excellent film cameras are now gathering dust. After I received my Casio and showed others the first images I made, 5 people where I work asked me to assist them in buying one. Terrific camera, even better buy. Casio will get my business again after DPreview puts it's stamp of approval on new QV5700. Problems: No problems, just wish it had flash connection and acc. lens threads - the QV5700 has these plus 5 MP.

Have had the camera for more than a year now and there are many features. Complete manual control and hidden TIFF RAW format of photos is great thing to have. Also an optic viewfinder (important issue - I hate EVF it's can't be used under dim light). But the major problem is the colours, especially with flash turned on (that's why I increase ISO indoors, but photos become noisy then...). It's camera for nature photos, but takeing photos of people make them a bit anaemic :I Problems: The ...

This is my first digital camera and I chose carefully. I have not been disappointed. There is a lot to learn but it is worth learning. I do wish I could attach separate flash for modelling but for what I do now it is not essential. Problems: None yet. I have had it 12 months
