I have been using this camera for a month and continue to find its results and features outstanding. Your grandmother could use it immediately in point and shoot mode, while more advanced users can switch to full manual where it offers a full choice of f stops and shutter speeds all the way to 16 seconds, plus control over nearly all other parameters too. Using this camera is easy. It is exceptionally fast between shots, allows much faster review of results than most, menus are well ...

Excellent Service from Casio Since submitting review about the camera a few days ago I lost the zoom button by allowing the camera to swing around my neck on the strap. I contacted Casio(UK) by email and 4 days later received a free-of-charge replacement. I am impressed by Casio for their service support even for what is now an old model and at no charge too!

This is great as a point and shoot camera in most conditions. After owning it for a while keen photographers will discover an amazing array of controls which are lacking on much more expensive cameras eg full range of selectable apertures in aperture priority mode. The camera exhibits truly amazing coverage of subject brightness range and I have produced poster sized prints using external post processing software to smooth the images. This is proving to be a difficult camera to upgrade ...

I've taken lots of good pictures with it. See http://community.webshots.com/user/tom_tex for pics of Venice, Rome, Florence, Austria, Washington DC, flowers... After a year I got rechargeable NIMH batteries and the camera is 500% more useable. With alkaline batteries you can't use the LCD for more than a couple pictures. Problems: I have taken many nice pictures with it but too many of them don't work because of focus problems. This is mostly at night. It wouldn't be bad if the manual ...

Have used this camera since Dec. 1999. The images in good light are excellent. In photos I shot at my daughter's wedding compared to the photographer's proNikon camera, mine were sharper and more detailed as well as more pleasing to the eye. I found this amazing. I make 8x10 prints on an Epson 780 printer from this camera and they too are quite outstanding. Problems: Low light focus is a contant problem. The flash is quite good within its range but the auto focus can sabotage an image in low ...

I have had this camera now since Sep 2000 with a Microdrive. It has many Features, the Panorama is especially usefull, the 30 sec AVIs are fun as well. With the Microdrive, it eats regular batteries - so the Sanyo 1600 are very helpfull and get you through a day of heavy picturetaking.. Problems: Zoom Button fell off, Lens Cover got stuck once -> the construction is a bit flimsy

The pics taken are great and it lets you adjust the aperture and shutter speed, a hidden options by casio. just visit the stevencam reviews and they will show you how to uncover the hidden option. The camera shape is a bit cumbersome and the pop-up flash is not too useful but camera is a delicate piece of equipment, so if you intend to keep it long treat it with respect and in turn it will last. Problems: The battery usage is great, but it can be easily solved by using NH battery. Buy the ...

As mentioned by the others, great features and great picture quality. Problems: Mechanicly, the camera is cheap. The lens stops retracting 2 days after I bought it

I love it, It's a good camera. Good picture quality, great menus, nice colour capture, like the TV out facility and the panoramic feature is stunning, 9 images that are stitched together and shown in a scrolling form...sweet. Recommended Problems: It eats battery with alkaline battery, I am afraid (if I forgot) about the cover case which can broke the lens.

Everyone who sees the pics I've taken are amazed that they're digita, and most are at 800x600!!! Great camera with really nice features that appeal to almost everyone. The only problem I have had is that it can be slow to come online at times when you first open it up, causing me to miss a few once-in-a-lifetime shots. I've also had problems with the shutter sometimes firing long after I had pressed the button (I missed a great shot at my brother's wedding because of this).
