Opinion: I bought the GV-10 in Japan over christmas. I am overall happy with its performance, however there are a few annoying issues. The LCD window is impressively fortified with rubber and tempered glass, and pushing down hard on it wont cause the screen to do that liquefied scatter thing. I am also impressed by its relatively small size and control access. Lack of optical zoom is not as annoying as I thought it would be.

Problems: The plastic body scratches quite easily (not good for an 'outdoor' camera). I have somehow manages to get a tiny scratch on the lense window (but this dosent seem to be affecting images). The large number of control buttons and switches (11) is a concern, as each is a potential entry point for water.
