Excellent camera. For photography in macro, is simply superb, with clarity and quality. Very versatile, compact, quality of photos much above average. Problems: A point against is the lack of intermediate steps between the minimum and maximum apertures in aperture mode.

My impressions after a month of use. That's what i liked: Very good resolution for a p&s camera... in despite of the "too much megapixels" web phobia. A huge and bright display. No more needs of viewfinder even in direct sunlight. Improved low light performances. Honest ccd shift stabilization system. Full manual controls and BestShot customizations. Problems: Videos have a choppy look with a bothersome jerky effect when panning across a scene. ( too low framerate ! )

Very good digital camera. Bright lcd display. Very good photo quality. Very easy to use. H.264 video. Outlook is okay. Long battery life. Some useful bestshot and some fun bestshot It is fun to take photos with Z1200. I like it very much. Problems: Only 20fps video. At least 1 sec or 1.5 sec between two shots. Compare to Canon, not many useful computer softwares to manage photos. Canon provide softwares to resize, rename, ... photos in batch.

It's a week I use Casio EX-Z1200 What I can say is that is a "rock solid" camera, with metal boby, big 2.8 lcd screen, very easy to use. Menu is really good and friendly, no need to read manual. Quality of photos is excellent, but... YOU NEED A TRIPOD It's impossible take photos in low light condition with camera in your hand (night panorama, etc..) and also with tripod is better put "self-timer" to avoid movements when you press shutter button. Also during day if you use zoom is a must ...
