Opinion: Love this camera! I was a canon fan until this little camera out did a canon sd1000 I used! I mainly take pictures of my cockatiels and the canon delievered mostly blur pictures! I tried all settings! because I read reviews on the canon's excellent image quality, but the pictures were mostly blurr!! This little casio is GREAT! I get sharp pictures of my birds!! I'm very happy with this camera and recommend it to anyone! (I'm very picky about image quality, before this camera I returned a canon sd 1000, and a olypum fe230. This casio is a keeper!

Problems: None

Opinion: My Casio EX-Z1050 performs great ! It's very fast, very good image quality, with a logical and quick and handy menu. No spare battery needed, because of the very long battery life. 10.1 Mega Pixels is a very nice luxury.
I compare with my former Pentax Optio's S4, S5Z, S6 and WP, which all broke down or had problems within 1 year and performed less than my Z1050.
This Casio is a discovery for me. It's an excellent and smart little machine. Always with me.

Problems: No problems encountered.

Opinion: I bought a Casio Exilim EX-Z1050 two weeks ago and used it in Beijing and Paris to take pictures of people and scenery. The EX-Z1050 is not just a very convenient pocket camera, it is capable in some circumstances of taking pictures comparable to those from a digital SLR. It produces amazingly sharp close-ups of flowers with good colour rendition. The 10 megapixels aren't always essential unless you want to print posters, but they are really helpful in providing an image that you can crop or resize while retaining high quality, so I keep the 10 MP setting on all the time (you can also choose settings appropriate for printing on A4 or smaller, or for showing on a computer or TV screen). An impressive feature on a pocket camera is the high-speed continuous setting, so you can use it for sports photography.

Problems: The flash is under-powered, but I don't like using flash anyway, except occasionally for filling in shadows on a sunny day. The only thing I find disappointing is the rather poor representation more than a few metres from the camera, though closer up faces look quite acceptable. I will continue to use a 35mm film camera for portraits.

Opinion: I received my EX-z1050 Exilim two weeks ago. To really give this baby a one hundred percent review, I would need months to test all the functiions. Based on my experience with the diiferent digital cameras, this one is by far the most fun. For example I have a Panasonic FX-01. I shot some pictures indoors and outdoors with both The FX01 and the EX-Z1050. The differences are few but worth noting: The color of the photos in the Casio were more natural, both, indoor and outside. The panasonic was more clear in detail, but with a touch of purple color in them. The Exilim on the other hand accepts a 4GB card that allows for more movie time. Incidentally, it works great. I shot all my photos at 10MP, so my sd card will hold less photos than if I shot at 5 or 6 MP. One thing to remember is that if you shoot with "AUTO ON" The resolution will change greately between 6mp and 10mp settings due to the aperture and shutter speed, predicated by the cameras sensor. This point and shoot camera does what it suppose to do. The Battery life is excellent and the construction is like swiss watch (solid). Small too. Highly recommend it!
Cheers!

Problems: Not so far
