Hey guys! I would like to buy myself a nice flash. I will use it primarily for shooting in clubs - so E-TTL and fast recycling time are a must. Radio and off-camera action is less of a priority. I want to buy my flash on eBay or Aliexpress to save money (I don't leave in the US and flashes are really expensive where I live). I've been looking primarily into the Yongnuo YN600EX-RT: http://www.ebay.com/itm/141450927776?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Will it be good...

I am a retired veteran and longtime professional artist and I have decided to start doing fine art collage in my latter years. I have been teaching myself photoshop to manipulate images. I did this first to create painting aids. (Image references to paint from.)  Now that I have developed some photoshop skills I wish to paint on the images a little and make collage elements out of them a decoupage, collage, and photo montage look. I have decided to get an Epson Perfection V800 as a scanner to...

The current Epson V700 driver is not compatible with the 64 bit version of Photoshop.  This forces me to have both the 64bit version and the 32bit version installed on my PC.  Does anyone know if the V800 drivers work with 64 bit Photoshop and is that driver compatible with an Epson V700? --bmw

With DXO 10 ELite the software will automatically download and use camera/lens modules it identifies from one's raw files. I've been playing around with C1 but have found that one needs to manually chose the camera/lens combination - at least that's what I remember (my trial ended today :-( ) - Is this correct or did I miss a 'setting' somewhere to automate this? Secondly, I didn't see all my camera lens combinations in C1 (D600/60mm micro I seem to remember being one). Is C1 fairly 'up to...

I am currently scanning some 30 year-old slides and negatives with an Epson V800. They are being scanned as tiffs, and when viewed in Windows Explorer they all have a file size of around 14Mb for a 35mm B&W. Here is the problem. When I rotate the vertical images in Explorer (rotate clockwise or counter-clockwise) the file size drops to around 7-8Mb. I can't for the life of me see why. The files have the same pixel dimensions and appear to be exactly the same, but are only half as big. Am I...

Apparently it's possible to fade the soundtrack on the last slide in an AV show in version 8 of Pictures to Exe, but for the life of me I am unable to figure it out.Searching online has been no help; I'm hoping someone here can be of assistance. Thanks in advance! --Heather

The more I use my new-but-sold-as-refurb J1 with two lens bundle, the more impressed I am with it. Am I the only one who feels that way? However, as a person whose main camera is a Canon DSLR f.f., I find the J1 to be quirky, with a learning curve. The UI can be frustrating, especially all the "menu diving" and lack of "hard buttons", and odd choices for the few "hard buttons". Sorry for the whining. YMMV. Still, the potential seems to be there. I anticipate being able to get a prime lens or...
