I needed - a small/tiny camera, - fast response, - good movie mode with optical zoom, - high ISO, - wide angle. I have this camera, black model, for 4 weeks. I use it for snapshots, so I do not have big expectations from the camera. Here are my findings: - Excellent build. I would like the lens slide cover to be not shiny (fingerprint magnet) and a little bit more sturdy (but is good quality). - The features are many, I would like an easier menu, so I can change ISO or quality faster; the ...

good construct, feel just right in the hand. the lense cover is very easily moved when you put in/out of pocket, so is the mode dial. i need to constantly check the dial after taking it out of my pocket. excellent outdoor image when i bright light, very good macro. however, the indoor/low light photo is a major problem, bestshot mode doesn't work very well indoor - very dark(same mode without flash actually turned out better than with flash) - so renders the bestshot useless indoor. vertical ...

I like the V7, have it with me all the time. Great zoom, good movie mode with mpeg h.264 format, stereo sound for movies, good manual settings, great portability and nice battery running time. I'm happier with the pictures than what I expected after having read the review.

I had very high hopes for the EX-V7. I was (and still am) very happy with my EX-Z850, but I really wanted the longer zoom and the hardware image stabilization. Here are some positives: - In manual mode, you can choose 3 aperatures (vs. 2 for the EX-Z850). I'm assuming that the third may use the neutral density filter? - The framing best shot actually was a nice little Best Shot. It would track the subject and take a 3MP picture framing it. However, it used the tracking focus and unfortunately ...

Returned to retailer - I purchased this camera as a carry-around camera for situations when my Nikon D200 and D70 wouldn't be appropriate. It has a lot of features nicely packed into a small package, namely aperture and shutter priority and 7x zoom. I was also interested in the non-extending lens. The camera has great image quality when used outdoors in bright sunlight, but I was so unsatisfied with indoor image quality and certain features that I returned it. Problems: - Image quality for ...

The movie mode, especially the 16:9 mode, is the best I've seen in a digital compact. There is no noticeable artifacts and the sound is clear too. I am using a 4GB SDHC card, giving me up to 75 minutes of movie. Good enough for trips. The 7x zoom lens is simply awesome. It is silent and the full-range zoom can be used during movie mode - incredible. The lens does not protrude from the camera even during zoom, amazing. There is also a seamless digital zoom mode that works very well. In ...

This is really excellent compact camera. Bestshot modes are saticfaction. Manuel adjusts is good. Price is enough. Problems: The most important problem is not to be charged without cradle. Max shutter speed is low 1/800 sec.

I have published a test (in Spanish) of this camera in the blog of my web. At the end of the test there is direct link to pictures taken out with this Casio Exilim V7. Excuse my English bad language, but I use a machine translator in my PC. V7 is a compact excellent camera, with a well designed optics, the same as the rest of the elements that you/they compose this photographic camera. It is very governable, with many adjustments, precise in exhibition and focus AF, good colors, and very ...

Construction: A mix of metal and plastic (lens slider cover is plastic). I think the tripod mount is metal, nice touch. No creaks anywhere. Battery is clipped in, so it won't fall out if you are taking out your SD card. The black one is sexy, silver is nice as well. Features: Aperture/Shutter priority (3 aperture options, exposure time up to 60 secs), Manual mode, infinite steps smooth 7x optical zoom, dynamic range expander, first true IS (CCD shift) camera from casio, 33 Best Shots scene ...
