I currently own Fuji S5 Pro with Nikon 35 1.8; Nikon 80-200 AFD; and Nikon 50 1.4 AF lens as wel as the Fuji x100.   I am thinking of getting rid of the Fuji S5 and all the lenses and buying a Fuji XE1 with 18-55 lens. What should I do?

Just curious because i have seen some posts with photos with D7100 and they say they just applied "some" sharpening.  This really makes me re-evaluate my thoughts and think "is that anti AA sensor making a BIG difference?"  Probably not.  I really wanted to get the D7100 but i just bought the nikon 17-55 for my Fuji S5 and i am completely BROKE.  My wife doesn't even KNOW that i bought it.  Yeah, i know, i am DEAD!! I figured, if people are still sharpening their images a bit, then what't the...

If any of you guys have experience with any of these lenses, or if you actually have or have used BOTH these lenses, what would be your true and honest advice as to which lens to get?  Which one performs "better"?  Obviously the 2.8 is a 2.8, but i do know both these lenses are sharp, and the 16-85 is what i actually preffer because of the awesome focal range.  Now, if both these lenses would produce (not perform) the same output regarding IQ, then i would definitely preffer the 16-85. Does...

I had a nikon D7000 and sold it about three months ago and bought me the S5 PRO and i am in love with the camera, i am sure i will keep this camera for ever. But soon i will need a more modern camera for low light and sharper images. I am being honest here, i might just buy a D7100, but i get the feeling that this camera might end up disappointing me in the end also, specially because i didn't really really like the skin tones from my previous D7000, some folks have said the new one has...

Hey, my S5IS just stopped starting up after I put new batteries in. Have tried three different sets of batteries and the terminals look clean. Anybody got any ideas?

Hi,I have a Fuji S5 pro that I love very much.  I was thinking of getting the AA filter removed so I can get even more clarity and resolution.  Is it worth it as I plan on using this camera for portraits and family pics for the forseeable future.  My second camera is a Fuji X100. Thanks

Hi guys.  My Nikon 16-85 backfocuses with the camera.  I went to Samy's Camera and the 18-55 also slightly backfocuses with the camera.  My Nikon 35mm, 50mm, and Rokinon 85 1.4 work perfectly fine with the S5, SPECIALLY the Rokinon, it is DAMM sharp!  What's up with that??? Is this a common known issue or am i the only unlucky one?  The 18-55 now that i think about it, was the display/test lens at Samy's Camera, maybe i should go back and ask for a brand new one from a box and compare, and...

Hi everyone.  I am very new to Fuji equipment, i recently bought a S3 and S5PRO and for what i do i am very happy with this top notch cameras.  I recently sold my Nikon D7000 and yes, sometimes is good to have a high ISO capable camera for certain purposes, and although i currently DON'T need one, i have been paying more attention to the XE-1 and XPRO-1 cameras all of you mention here and i am reading and seeing that they have EXCELLENT ISO and AWB performance, and perhaphs in a near future i...

Hello people,This is my very first post on dpreview, although I have been on the website for quite some time. For a long time, I have used my Canon S5IS, a bridge cam. Now, I feel that I have outgrown thecamera and I am ready to shift over to a DSLR. I'm a student, but very serious about photography.I have narrowed down my choice to theCanon 600D/T3i and Nikon D5100 (allthough I think I'm going to go for the Canon, because Ifeel at home with that model) My question is whether I should go for...

Hi guys, someone is selling their S5 PRO and i am trying to fugure out how many actuations it has.  Am i totally screwed with this?  Someone said that the S5 does not record the shutter count in the exif data, so no software would help.  Is this true??  I did try that in myshuttercount.com and it didn't work.  This photo is from that camera: Thanks!
