My girlfriend has a 550d and I would like to buy a 7d as a present. But after reading about rumors of a new 7dmk2 I'm a little worried that the 7d is an old model not worth upgrading to. Just to make it clear I know very little about this subject, hence the question :-) So ... Is it a good idea to use my money on this Canon 7D or should i wait?
Hello,I am planning to purchase a Canon EOS 7D for use in our Conservation labs at our museum. I am considering purchasing the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II lens and potentially the Canon EF 50mm f/2.5 Macro lenses. My question is will the first lens be able to handle our range of requirements - those being photographing 2-d pieces from postage stamps to large prints and 3-d pieces from small sherds to totem poles or canoes. I would say that the average size of an object would fit on a table top,...
This question is directed primarily at photographers who own both a 70D and a 6D, and secondarily at those who have a 7D or an XXD combined with a 5D3 or 6D. I would think for outdoor sports, video, general purpose, the 70D is the winner, and for indoor or landscape...
Im currently a NEX-7 user and im thinking of switching to full frame camera for a while now. Ive read some info about it and i know i'll get better image quality if i switch. The plus side is, canon accessories and lenses are everywhere. With my sony camera, i have to order and have it shipped from the US to the Philippines which costs a lot coz of the import taxes but with canon, lenses are easy to find here. Im thinking of 4 cameras: 5d mark ii, 5d mark iii, 6d and 7d. Price doesnt matter...
I have run into a dilemma. Currently, I am using Canon 6D with a 24-70 F/2.8 and 70-200 F/2.8 mainly for sports photography (everything Ice Hockey to High school Volleyball). I mud admit the Canon 6D is great camera but I find it greatly struggling to grab the focus accurately and quickly. I don't think I will be able to use it longer as I am stepping up to shooting higher levels of sports for Junior Ice Hockey and University sports. The Canon 1DX is simply out of my price range, so would it...
