People that have the Sigmonster 300-800mm lens seem to love them in spite of the weight and for the money it has huge range and huge reach. However, The Digital Picture and DXO both have no test data for it. Also, it was designed back in 2002 and is now discontinued. Still, the price new is $8k now even though they originally sold for $6k. I'm shopping for a big lens for my 6D. My 100-400mm was often insufficient on my 7d crop camera and worse with my 6d. Still, I prefer my 6d because of the...
I am going to Hong kong for a week in November and was wondering what kit to take. I have a Canon 7D with 18-135 stm lens a 70-300L zoom and a sigma 10-20 F4.5 wide. So, take the lot or take two and a lightweight tripod. I also have a Canon camcorder, take it or use the 7D? I don't have a flash and was wondering whether to buy one there? Thanks for any suggestions. Gerry.
I have not looked at the forum for a little while, so appologies if the question has been asked. How does the Sigma 150-600 perform on the 7D? --lee uk.There are old pilots, & there are bold pilots, but there are no old bold pilots."I'm so fast, when I turn off the light, i'm in bed before the room gets dark" The great Muhammad Ali.
I'm looking for a recommendation for a new lens, and I know just enough about photography to be dangerous! I primarily take pictures at 13 year old sporting events: soccer, baseball, karate (indoor). I have good access to the fields and can move around quite a bit. Most games are during the day. I'm OK if I have to set the camera down for night games. I have a Canon 7D and I currently shoot with an old 75-300mm f4-5.6. I'm able to get some good shots, but I get a lot of shots where the...
Well, I'm currently in the planning stages for a road trip down to Florida for the Sun N Fun flyin/airshow. I currently have in my kit, a 60D, 100-400L, Sigma 18-35, Tokina 11-16, 70-300 USM(non-L), Rokininon 85. I've been thinking about adding a FF to my kit setup(esp if by christmas time there isn't a 7D2 or similar out), and was thinking of renting a second body(5D3, or 6D), to play with during the shows. If I did get another body, I'd also be highly tempted to rent another long...
What is the quickest way to change AF modes? is it really only way I Know now is to hit info, push the AF button then select with front dial? no way to just switch with a button or at least the button and dial without having to hit info first? need a faster way when shooting birds perched to servo mode when they come by flying, I am new to canon, and this is what I got form menu, it was even worse when I had the info button set to cycle thru all the screens, if I disable all available in info...
