As I grow nearer to ordering the Tamy 150-600, I would like to ask, how great in real life shooting, [wildlife & birds,] is the difference between 400 v 600? I have a Sigma 120-400 OS, which I can use fairly effectively, but the extra reach of the Tamron sounds tempting, + it's a price I can afford. I don't want to hear percentages, but if anyone has photos shot at 400 & 600 preferably of the same scene, it would be very helpful. I will be using a 7D. TIA. --lee uk.There are old pilots, &...

Sorry if this is the wrong forum. I've been a reasonably happy Canon DSLR owner for some years, but getting impatient on Canon having a full-frame to match the Sony full-frame sensors in the A7r and D800 series. According to DxoMark, the highly rated Samyang 14mm is significantly sharper on the D800e than my Canon 6d. I own the Samyang 14mm for Canon and have been impressed. It's one of my favorite lenses. The differences are almost hard to believe. Real world, what can I expect as far as...

What export settings are best for converting RAWs to JPEGs that will be used for portraits or wedding photos? What export settings will produce a JPEG of similar size to that which the Canon 7D spits out when set to shoot in JPEG format? Thanks in advance for any help you can give! -David Additional context: I am used to delivering JPEG photos at the size they came out of the camera, which I've not had problems with. Recently, when I exported/converted some RAW files to JPEG, they were still...

Hello, everyone. The main question is should I spend on DX equipment or straight go towards the FX and invest in the future ? I've just registered in the forum. Would appreciate every opinion but just, bare in mind in most of your eyes I wouldn't appear even in the classification of an amateur so please, don't eat me alive. :D So I've had several point and shoot cameras in my life from Fuji, Canon and Sony and for the last couple of months I'm shooting racing events with a press pass and...

Went out with our bike club for our weekly ride. There was a local road rally race today so we all brought our cameras to try to get some action shots. Using my XE2 with kit Lens in manual mode with a shutter speed of 125, continuous focus and F11 I got clear crisp photos but no blurred background to give the impression of speed as the car zooms by. Both the car and background were in sharp focus. My friends, all using Canon aps-c SLR cameras were getting great shots with a blurred background...
