Is there any owner of the Canon EF 35mm f/2 IS lens who might comment on the AF performance of this lens? I am especially interested in the tracking of moving subjects at wide open apertures. I currently own a 7D MKII and a Sigma 18-35 ART. While I am very happy with the quality I get out of this combination, I am a little disappointed with the tracking capabilities. In anything other than perfect light, I am very hesitant to use the lens at 1.8 for moving subjects. And there is also the...
Hi- I have a canon 7D that I mainly use for time-lapses. On my last two time-lapses, I noticed that three images in each folder had the lower half of the image slightly shifted over and were lighter - almost like a flare. Could this be a sensor issue? See attached photo. The two time-lapses were shot on different CF cards. Both shot in large JPEG. Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

I recently replaced my 7D to newly released 80D. I was using v2 of EOS utilities software to connect my old 7D but it doesn't recognize my 80D so I uninstall that and downloaded EOS Digital Solution Disk Software 31.1A for Mac OS X from canon site. When I double click to install the software it appears on my screen for a second then disappears. I couldn't install it at all. So i cannot connect my 80D to my computer. Is there anybody else having trouble installing it to a mac? if so how would...
I'm lusting for a long zoom, so that when I carry my 6D with me I don't need to bring the SX50 as well. Here in Taiwan the price for the 100-400mkII is 56000nt, for a 7DmkII + 55-250STM I'd spend only 40000nt, with the advantage of having access to Ef-s lenses, a body with much better Af than the 6D etc etc. so, the 7DmkII would be my "touring" companion. I know that the 2 lenses cannot really be compared, but is anyone succesfully using the 55-250 STM with the 7D mkII? I mean for general use...
hi, I have a bit of a nagging feeling about a purchase and I'm dying for some advise or feedback i traded my 50mm f1.4 in and bought the sigma 30mm f1.4, i found the 50mm a bit to narrow on my 7D i was originally looking at the canon 24mm or 28mm f2.8 is usm, but i have the 17-55mm f2.8 so technically 24mm f2.8 is already in my gear and so i convinced myself that the sigma having 1.4 would be nicer because of the option going all the way to 1.4 however when testing it yesterday and walking...
Hi! Have been away from this forum almost 10 years. My old KM7D and 5D are both still like new and working well. Both have had this "first frame black" issue but after few repairs they have been working well. Only issue is with my 7D is that it will run out of battery in 2-3 weeks even if I don't use it. But the battery life is normal if I start using it after charging the battery (it takes that x- hundred of frames until the battery is empty). Anyone knows whats the problem? On my KM5D the...
