Just bought a new Canon 7D Mk II and also a new San Disk UDMA 7 32gb CF card. I find that the card won’t Format in the new camera. Says needs formatting but format fails. The problem is that the card will format on my Computer and also in my old Canon 7D (Mk I) and other similar cards will format in the new 7D Mk II. If I format new card on my computer and then copy some canon photo to it it still won’t be recognised by the 7D Mk II. I still suspect the card and have returned it to the...

I found a 7d for $400 used and it seems in good condition. However i'm more into shooting video so is there really any advantage to this over the t4i or that range of cameras? the only reason i looked into the 7D is because of the price since usually they're quite expensive

Has anyone in UK ordered one of these battery grips? The reviews are quite favourable & I am prepared to take the chance for $30 rather than the £100+ for Canons own. I want one for my 5D2 & one for my 7D. I find they give better balance with long lenses. Hope you can help.  --lee uk.There are old pilots, & there are bold pilots, but there are no old bold pilots."I'm so fast, when I turn off the light, i'm in bed before the room gets dark" The great Muhammad Ali.

Hello there...  I am having problems with the buit in flash of my Canon 7D.  Anytime I pop it up, the camera goes off and I have to switch it off, wait a while until it can be used again. Have you guys experienced this with your cameras?  I don't use the camera's flash but it is nice to have it working properly. Thanks in advance. C @camilocc

I recently bought a Nissin Di866 flash & want to know how I can fire it whilst holding it in my hand as opposed to using the hot shoe. I have both 7D & 5DMk2. How do "Pocket Wizards" work & would they help me here? Cheers.  --lee uk.There are old pilots, & there are bold pilots, but there are no old bold pilots."I'm so fast, when I turn off the light, i'm in bed before the room gets dark" The great Muhammad Ali.

i need a bag for my gear and i'm inclined to the sling-style bag. the tamrac velocity 8z was on the top of my list but i just discovered the turnstyle 20 and i'm really liking the flexibility of carrying it on your waist or as a sling. i don't know, though, if it can hold my gear: a 7D2 w/grip, 70-200L2.8II, 17-55, and (i might be getting) a 24-105L.  anyone have this bag? any thoughts? thanks very much.

Why do I get a reasonably sharp image such as the Pelican and then get a OOF image like the ducks. Is it camera focus problems or camera motion? I used case 2 for both shots. AF point expansion for the duck shot and manual selection for the pelican shot. The keeper shots I get with this camera are great but they seem to be few and far between. I'd like to know if the focus problems are caused by the camera or caused by something I'm doing wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Doc G

Hi, My goal is to nail some top quality images and I'm thinking my lenses are what's lacking. That means tat it's time to leverage things. Thus the critical issue. Since I'm not being paid YET to shoot billboards, magazine covers etc (and can always rent if a project requires with upfront payment)..... I'm thinking of leveraging gear to get the most tack sharp images regardless of sensor.Goal:  - Sharp / Fast / No Brainer KitBest Lenses / Imaging combination (through leveraging)      Without...
