Hello. I recently bought the 70D, upgrading from my last Canon Rebel dslr and so far it has been great. The video autofocus works great, and the touch screen makes switching settings so easy. However, I initially wanted the Panasonic G4 due to the 4K video. Unfortunately, my budget didnt allow that.. Now I've learned of the Panasonic FZ1000 which also has 4k, at $900. Biggest drawbacks are the fixed lens, and it being "bridge camera". I wouldn't mind the fixed lens, if the video quality is...

I read 70D has a shutter lag of 65ms while 60D is at 59ms. Is that true? Would I be able to say the difference? Would it create problems for me? I'm very sensitive to shutter lag (and viewfinder blackout delay). --My gallery. Street photography is free speech and records our history. I took a number of photos, camera on a tripod, 50mm lens. The 40 pictures before this one came out fine. Switched dogs, and this is what happened. The background is much better focused, but for some reason, I missed the subject in these. I purposefully used a wide aperture to narrow the DOF, along with flash. Previous shoots had been with a 50D and I didn't really have this problem. So, I'm not sure what I did. Perhaps, as in the previous posting in this subject, I had too many spots selected...

Hi. I am a comparative newbie, both to this forum and to the Canon 70d. I've had the 70d for a few months now and am quite happy with my results so far.  But one thing I can't sort out is setting the ISO to 100. It doesn't seem to matter what I do it will not go below 200.  I can cope quite well at 200 but in looking around on various forums, I've seen loads of examples of photos taken in Av mode at 100 ISO. If it's there, why can't I find it? Can anyone help me please

HI there everyone! i need a new camera with video as main focus and photography as second! okay a lil bit of background. i had bought a sony a58 last year. i had saved up about $500 and wanted to get a dslr and with video as primary focus and had 2 choices, t3i or a58. i went with sony because all the other cameras ive ever used before (point and shoot) were all sony and well it seemed like it had a lot more features minus the rotating screen. then i bought the a58 and i was surprised. the...

I recently bought a Tamron 16-300 and use it on my 650D. If I use Live View with this combination, auto focus is working far from optimal. With the 650D it takes either seconds (up to 6) to get a sharp picture, or the picture is not sharp, or no picture is taken at all. Does anybody have experience whether the 70D in combination with a Tamron 16-300 (or another third party lens) performs better in Live View?

I searched for a pro/con of these but couldn't find one. At the moment I am in doubt between those two lenses. I mainly shoot portraiture and some sports outside. I am going to use this lens on a canon 70d. The 2.8 version by canon is out of my budget range. I narrowed the lens selection down to these two. I am aware of the difference in speed and bokeh. I'd like to hear from anyone if there are differences in sharpness and then especially towards the 200mm. Thanks for your responses in...

is the 70D sensor a tiny tiny little little little bit larger than the 7D2 sensor? or are they exactly exactly the same? --My gallery. Street photography is free speech and records our history.
