Hey everyone  I have spent a few weeks online (dpreview) and other places researching these two lenses.  I have read all the reviews and questions posted in this forum and was wondering if anyone could help me out.  Photography is my hobby, although I like good IQ and being able to take the best possible pictures. First DSLR I have had for a year or so is the Canon 650D.  I have: 50 1.8, 18-55kit, 55-250ISIn the future I would like to get: 70-200f4, 100 2.8, 10-18 (All canon) Do: take a few...

Dear Canon Lovers,  Need your help in two areas: 1-What is the best noise reduction setting in the camera, shall keep it minimum, medium or high? 2- is there any benefit for using the built in pictures styles  while shooting,  will the images be any different if I use these modes? thanks a million.

First of all, a big thanks to DPReview for helping newbies like me learn the basics of photography. I need to take some close-up shots of villagers where I live, for a research on facial deformities and diets. I'd like to avoid distortion of any kind when taking these photos. Ideally the faces in these photos would look very much like how we see them in real life. I'm referring to both the widths of faces and facial features.  I understand that, on a FF camera, a 28mm lens will distort my...

Hello! I recently purchased a refurbished 70D. As a camp photographer in an area with beautiful night skies, I am seeking advice about reliable and inexpensive external shutter release cable or remote. Secondly, there are several remote trips with campers where I will not be able to charge my battery for long periods of time.   My budget is very limited I was wondering if there are any batteries that were not Canon that are still reliable. Cheers!

Is there a way to make a Canon EOS 70D Wi Fi feature automatically sync to someplace Lightroom can get to it? I want to stop carrying a cord with me everywhere I go. I take 50-200 photos a day. It would be nice if I could just start seeing the photos instantly on a laptop, the way you can when you take pictures with a smartphone. From what I read in the manual, I need to use the Canon Image Gateway (which I am perfectly fine with), but I have to pick each photo manually. I don’t want to...

I've been waiting on DPReview to review the Canon T6s and compare it to the older Canon 70D but so far, nothing. So, I was wondering if anybody might could shed some light on this.  I am upgrading from an old Canon Rebel....a T2 or a T3, I forget which.  I tend to take a lot of sports related photography as well as landscapes and architecture.   Should I go with the T6s or the 70D? Does anybody have both and can offer up their comparison?  The specs on both cameras are very, very close,...

Hi, Both backpacks have similar designs -- the both offer side access which comes handy. Do you own either or both backpacks? I have four genuine Canon LP-E6 batteries that all show one red bar for battery recharge performance - i think this is bad news. I've always let my batteries completely discharge and then fully charged them, but wonder if this is the best pay to maintain optimum performance of camera batteries ? With my Mac Book and iPhone i've read you're supposed to recharge at 20% and only run it down to 0% once a month. What's the best way to get the most from my Canon batteries ? Is there any difference...

Hi Guys, I've been looking at the D7100/D7200 now for quite some time and I think I'm ready to take the plunge.  I've already read a few books on digital photography and read countless posts.  Unless you think otherwise, I was going to pair it with the 18-140mm kit lens.  I'm very new to photography and my last cameras were point and shoot (Canon Powershot series with the big zooms).  I primarily want to use it as a vacation/walk around camera.  We are planning on going to Disney later this...

2 part question..desperate 4 some help here. Out of frustration/anger i threw my camera (it was on w/ screen out-open) on my couch and now when i go to close the screen it will shut, but doesnt stay shut...guess i sprung the hing a bit? it still shows images and works correctly...any fix for this...it will seat/shut correctly when the lcd is facing out, which is good, but its nice to close that and be able to protect the screen (have it face inward). The reason for the frustration is that I...
