awesome pictures up to iso 3200!!!! you do not need a flash unless you want it to fill in. :-) focus tack sharp, also with lateral focus points. 4.5 fps are more than enough for a pro-sumer, wifi very, very useful!! beppe

I took a Canon 6D + EF 50mm f1.4 USM to Colombia and  took about 700 fotos - focus was fine for my type of photography, mostly landscape, informal portraits, nice colors. Positives: reasonably fast  focus, very good performance in low light, very lightweight, nice viewfinder. Only drawbacks are the slower flash sync shutter speed, some controls I use are only accessible in menu and IQ, a bit less latitude in shadows than my D800 but for the money the 6D is a bargain.

Camera: Canon 6D Type of photography: Commercial landscape photography Lenses used: 16-35L II and 70-200 F4L IS Website: http://www.johaneickmeyer.com Overview: The Canon 6D is an incredible landscape camera that offers many ways to utilize creativity and satisfy the need for outstanding image quality. My review is based on a season of extensive use in nothing but landscape photography. I have no opinion in regards to the 6D and other types of photography. One of my favorite shots of the ...

I bought the 6D about a month after being released. Because my background and education, my photography work has two distant and different branches. L andscapes and photographs that look like XVII Century Dutch Golden Age paintings (yes, yes, Vermeer, Kalf, Claesz, Heda and the like you can check them out in the link above) The Canon 6D had some features that were relevant to me : Full Frame, High ISO with Low Noise, WiFi and GPS. I previously owned a Canon 20D before and I was upgrading to ...

I've had the 6D for several weeks now, potentially an upgrade from a 7D. Now I'm not so sure. I can relate to most of the good review comments. But I have some gripes too. Reviews never mentioned that the 6D doesn't have built in flash. That flash is great for quick fill light when your traveling light. I got an EX 270 mini flash thta will at least slide into my pocket. The GPS sensor apparently takes its place. Fair enough, but I wish it had been mentioned. The GPS isn't a bad idea for those ...

I have had the 7D for over 3 years and Canon released this somewhat "budget" FF and I decided to get one because I had Canon 17-40 & 24-105 and Sigma 12-24 just gethering dust. I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the photos at it's features. Very, very good at high ISO and in low light. I still use my 7D (and the 40D some) but I love the 6D. Kent

Amazing Camera. Great build quality- feels very well made, both body and kit 24-105 lens. Pictures are sharp, vivid and well exposed. Video is very nice, haven't experienced any miore...perhaps with the latest firmeware update there was some fix? You will not regret it.

Let me preface this review by noting that I am pretty new to photography. I bought a Sony NEX 5N in Sept. of 2011 and knew nothing about photography. Slowly over the next year I read books on exposure, composition, and light. I was determined to figure out the technical aspects of photography so the equipment wouldn't limit me trying to achieve what my eyes wanted to capture. I find photography so much easier when I don't have to think about how to get the exposure I want and can do it ...

Coming from the 30D and having used the 5dii, i had found the 5Dii AF much more of a hit an miss than i could tolerate. The 6D is about the same AF speed, but the hit rate is better and the low light performance is as good as you get. The camera doesnt get full score for Kids/pets because there are faster AF available, which will be handy for kids & pets. However the good low light performance, and the silent shutter is awesome for candids and indoor shooting. The shutter noise for this ...
