Amazing Camera. Great build quality- feels very well made, both body and kit 24-105 lens. Pictures are sharp, vivid and well exposed. Video is very nice, haven't experienced any miore...perhaps with the latest firmeware update there was some fix? You will not regret it.

Let me preface this review by noting that I am pretty new to photography. I bought a Sony NEX 5N in Sept. of 2011 and knew nothing about photography. Slowly over the next year I read books on exposure, composition, and light. I was determined to figure out the technical aspects of photography so the equipment wouldn't limit me trying to achieve what my eyes wanted to capture. I find photography so much easier when I don't have to think about how to get the exposure I want and can do it ...

Feels great in my hand. Control layout is uncluttered and very easy to use. Menu is advanced but simple to understand. Viewfinder is clean and bright (not too many AF points to interfere with my view). Live view is excellent and the magnification allows you to check your focusing accuracy. The battery seems to last forever. Image quality is stellar. Colours are spot on and the metering works perfectly. I'm very pleased, and, really, image quality is all that counts when you use a camera. High ...

Coming from the 30D and having used the 5dii, i had found the 5Dii AF much more of a hit an miss than i could tolerate. The 6D is about the same AF speed, but the hit rate is better and the low light performance is as good as you get. The camera doesnt get full score for Kids/pets because there are faster AF available, which will be handy for kids & pets. However the good low light performance, and the silent shutter is awesome for candids and indoor shooting. The shutter noise for this ...

Initiated with a 500N, 350D, 1100D (2 days), 600D, 60Dd, 7D + 5DMk2 and currently 6D 6D beats the Mk II down-is smaller, lighter and had that wonderful, low-light capability especially massively better low light AF, the Achilles heel of the Mk II. GPS and/or WiFi don't use and is absolutely a no-brainer. 6D is not a big sport or action, but the camera is slightly better at work than the Mk II-AF is a little better. I only use for portraiture and photojournalism and I'm satisfied. Cons: twice ...

I must say I am very impressed by the Canon 6D. After a few hundred shots I have not thrown away more than a handful because of out of focus or unmanageable exposure value. Most important the image quality and ISO performance is great. Another nice feature is the WiFi function and it is fabulous and soo easy to scroll the pictures, rate or delete before upload to the computer (a bottleneck as my wife and I use the same Imac ), it is also great to be able to email directly from my Ipad! And ...

I don't give it 5 stars because of 2 points : The built that is bot as good as the 40D that I had and the autofocus that is loosy as soon as you shooting any fast moving object (manageable). Other than that, it's a beast. The image quality is stellar, it's compact and ergonomic (the handgrip is perfect). The low iso is incredible when you never shot with a full frame before and the viewfinder is big and clear. Well it's a full frame so all that was to be expected, but still it's a great ...
