As per the title. The typical el-cheapo China OEM one I bought only lasted 2 months. Well, the timing functions still work, but once it's plugged into the camera, my shutter triggers on half-press rather than AF, and the same when I'm in MF mode even. Pull it out, everything works fine.
Hello everyone! Looking for a little advice and some answers to a few questions I have. I know this will be a difficult wedding to shoot, but I am not too worried about it because I am the 2nd shooter and the main shooter is my friend who is doing a favor for her friend (the one being married). So this isn't even a paid gig. Still, I want to try and do my best with the circumstances at hand. I figure if anything I am walking away with some experience and "lessons learned" --- Thanks in...
I have a repetitive motion and I want to make 4000 fps video. I want to synchronize repetitive motion and shutter release of 650D with Arduino microcontroller, and take every second at particular phase of the repetitive motion photo with 1/4000s exposure, and at the end assemble 4000fps video. Is this possible? What could be shutter lag window?
Hi, I'm not really certain which area this falls under so I apologize in advance if I'm posting in the incorrect forum. I have a Canon T4i (Love it) and I use a UV filter when shooting portraits (I just never take it off since I also shoot a lot of outside scenery). I use a strobe light with a shoot through umbrella when doing portrait shots. Now... here's my question: EVERY single time I shoot I get either a pink or purple (magenta) shade over the entire photo (it's especially noticeable in...
Hello All,I have a simple question that I have been having a difficult time finding an answer to…just how much of a difference does a full frame camera make in relatively low light? More precisely. If I owned a cropped sensor camera and a full frame camera with identical lenses and mounted each to a tripod looking at a subject. What would the approximate difference be in the settings I can use? Let’s say, I mounted a Canon 6D(FF) and a 70D(cropped) with a prime lens, like the Canon 50mm 1.4....

I’m going to be trying my wife’s Canon T4i camera and I have a settings question. If I have the mode dial on the Creative Mode Zone “Av” setting, where should I set the lens’ focus mode switch — in the AF autofocus or MF manual focus position? If either option is fine, any observations about the benefits or drawbacks of either choice when in Av mode? Thanks.
