Hi thereI am a beginner by every means, had my 650D for around a year now. Know about settings and aperture and iso and everything. When it comes to deciding between a fast lens (2.8 or 1.8 and so on) and another lens say 3.5 or f4 and higher. The latter being better in low light photography. Is that just low light hand held? I see many incredible photos taken with the 17-55 and many say due to its 2.8 aperture its better than say a slower 15-85 in some instances. All the great pictures I see...

Option 1:Based on my previous question I have decided the Canon 17-55 is rather expensive and the Sigma 17-50 would suit my needs with the canon 10-18 for wide angle.OROption 2:I could for a few extra (R2000 approx $168) get the 15-85 Canon...I do not shoot lots of low light at the momentI want to get a 70-200f4 one day for sportI have a 50 1.8 II, and the 55-250is and 18-55 kit.Camera 650D (first DSLR)Appreciate good IQ and use images for stock tooThanks for the advice, any and all input...

I used to have a Canon 450D and I must say that it was a great camera. I have upgraded by buying a used Canon 650D which I sold 2 days later for some reason the camera was overexposing in Auto, P and AV mode Shooting through liveview was OK... but through viewfinder the result was very dissapointing. I was getting overexposed photos and I had to give -2 in exposure compensation in order to get a close must of a well exposed photo I searched the internet and show that for 650D this is kind of...

Well before I describe my problems a bit about my photographic background. I am a hobby photographer for roughly 30 years and fro sure able to handle my equip in proper way.Long years, starting with the D60 I worked with Canon equip and different bodys and lens sets. As pistol shooting was my hobby for decades, I am able to hold long focal length lenses even in unusual long exposure times without IS.Now I gave Samsungs NX1 a chance, but frustration is hitting me. Please help me, I cant chose between Canon 650D/700D or Nikon D5300. I used the Canon 600D, i loved it, it was pretty much easy to control, and with the same system of canon and the touch screen, i prefer the Canon 650D/700D, however i am more concerned with the image quality, is it true that the image quality of the Nikon d5300 is much better? I plan to purchase the canon 650D/700D with one of these two lenses Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM or Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II and in case of Nikon, i will...

I wonder if any had such a experience. I thought it may be due to Magic Lantern, so I removed it and formatted the card, but it still sometimes completely drains the battery within one day even when switched off.
