Hi, Doing the Disney World trip for the first time in August with my family. Kids are 6 and 8. I'm torn as to what to bring. Here is my gear: Rebel T4i (650D) - Canon efs 24mm 1/2.8 - Canon efs 55-250mm 1/4-5.6 -Tamron 16-300mm f3.5-6.3 -Canon 50mm Canon 6D -Canon EF 70-300mm 1/4.5-5.6 -Canon EF 24-105mm 1/4L -Canon EF17-40mm 1/4L I am torn between lightness+portability, and photo capability. I'd love to hear from some people who have been there!! Thanks.

I have an access to high resolution 3d printer and I wanted to try to print simple lens for my Canon t4i camera. Do you know where I can get complete datasheet on lens? Geometry of the body and lens optical parameters. I want to order lenses and print housing for it on 3d printer. I am interested in simple lenses like Canon 50mm 1.8... Would post later results of this DIY project if you can share information with me. =)

I have a Nikon D5500. I know that all of the reviews say it's much better than a Canon T4i (no flame wars, please) but all of the advantages have to do with photography and I shoot almost exclusively video. While the video out of the D5500 is very good, I really can't do much post processing on its h264 files. For example, you can't adjust blues, or reds, etc., without affecting the entire image. Anyway, my question is, is there that much difference between Nikon's h264 and a Canon video file...

I am considering changing from my current Canon T4i with 70-300, 17-85 and 10-22 lenses into an all in one. Possibly either the Canon SX-60HS or Sony RX 10 Mk III. These are at very different price points but that is immaterial. I travel a great deal for pleasure and want to reduce the load, neither are as wide as my 10-22 but I think I can live with that. My question is: has anyone made this kind of a switch and what are your feelings about it? Thanks for your help. Bikerguy

Hi, Most of you will probably burts out laughing, but I count on the few of you who are passionate about helping beginners out. Well, I always loved photography, people often comment I'm good at capturing emotions so I recently thought...what if I give it a go (here half of you will think I must be a very naive person or at least delluded :-)  but every pro started somewhere. ... To the point though: I love shooting people and recently became a mum so my focus shifted to photographing babies....

Hello! So a couple of years ago I bought my child, the Canon Rebel T3i. She has done so much good and I love that camera to pieces, but I am in desperate need of an upgrade. I spend a lot of time recording video of myself, so the AF in video mode that came with later models is a must have for me. My question for you guys is, is the price difference for the T6i over the T5i (or T4i) worth it? If video is my primary focus (I also do a lot of photography), should I spend the extra money on the...

Hello experts, I am planning to upgrade from Canon Rebel T4i to next grade of camera. Basically not able to decide b/w NIKON D750 and Canon 7D Mark II. 80 % for Birds & Wildlife photography. 20 % for family portraits. Can you please guide me on which one to go for ? Is it good upgrade from Rebel T4i to 7D Mark II ? Thanks Rajesh

I'm planning to buy a used DSLR.  I'll be shooting a fair amount of video, which should look pretty nice, as well as taking photos.  I'm new to photography and will be using it mainly for pictures and video interviews to be used on websites I build/maintain. I've done quite a bit of research to figure out what would suite my needs but wanted to reach out to see what people much more savvy than I think.   Since I'm looking to save money on the purchase I'm trying to find a bundle through...

Hi everyone, I bought a Canon 70D recently to replace my 650D in October. The funny thing is, I'm finding the camera's phase detection AF to seem to be somewhat less reliable than my 650D. In low light, it seems to soft focus more often, and even when I'm shooting in good light, there's always a few shots that didn't turn out critically focused. I mean, I understand focus errors happen regardless, but is it normal that I have around 1 shot in about 20 that doesn't focus correctly? I find that...
