Guys, Which camera is better for creating mini films etc? Better focus, sharpness, lighting, colors etc.   Can you please share your opinion, advantages of one vs the other. They all seem to be within the same price range. Thank you so much!

Amateur photographer trying to turn it into a profession. Small chance i might have an opportunity to do some architecture type photos for a realtor company. They've specified they want someone with either a canon 5D mark II or III or a 6D. I'm guessing any full frame canon of better quality will suffice. I'm just about to start looking into those models to compare the differences (i dont like to look at new cameras unless i can buy what i am looking at so i really don't know their features...

I have just upgraded to the 5ds and I’m use to using the live view focus point to change the exposure on the fly (with my 5d2). But I’m also use to working in manual focus and checking the hyperlocal distance focus points via the depth of field preview. But when I take off auto focus with the 5ds it removes the focusing box and doesn’t simulate the exposure. I use to choose a natural grey area in my shots and I could control the exposure very effectively. Is there any way of turning this back...

Hey guys, So I bought a 8mm fish eye lens from Vivitar to use on my 5d mark ii full frame camera (for virtual tour making). It stated that this lens is made for APS-C cameras (and it does work on my SL1), but it also said it would work on full frame cameras which would project a circular image. Here is the problem: I don't even get a circular image on my 5d mark ii, 10% of the image shows, but 90% is blocked by something black. Any idea why? I already tried playing with the aperture on the...

Hello! I'm in the same boat as the OP and this did not fix my camera :/ I'm not sure what's wrong with it now, I have two canon batteries and neither are working to power the camera and I just installed a new clock battery and that didn't make the camera turn on I have a Canon 5d mark ii that is 4 years old and it was working the day before it stopped turning on, I didn't drop it or anything it just stopped working I tried the little microswitch thing, leaving it then putting a new battery in...

Hello! So a couple of years ago I bought my child, the Canon Rebel T3i. She has done so much good and I love that camera to pieces, but I am in desperate need of an upgrade. I spend a lot of time recording video of myself, so the AF in video mode that came with later models is a must have for me. My question for you guys is, is the price difference for the T6i over the T5i (or T4i) worth it? If video is my primary focus (I also do a lot of photography), should I spend the extra money on the...

I have a job coming up where I hope to take my canon gear into a laboratory where they sterilise equipment with a vacuum and Ethylene Oxide (ETO) cycle in a metal box.  Anyone who works in the scientific or medical communities know if this is safe for full frame canon gear and L lenses? Thanks, Quintin

I am currently using a Pentax K10 DSLR with the choice of 2 lenses the 18-55 and 50-200 zoom. I have used it mainly for arial photography in the anti shake mode and i love it.  I would now like to do some video tutorials of the machinery i work with and I have been advised the best way to achieve this is with a DSLR with the video function and ideally with a jack plug socket for an external microphone. I have been told the idea camera is the Canon 5D Mark II but I am thinking if I buy a...

I've been looking at getting an x100 as a secondary camera for a while now, but I simply won't have the money for one in the foreseeable future. In the meantime, I noticed XPro 1s selling at ~$500 USD body only, which got me curious. Initially, I thought the biggest issue would be the fact that it's an APS-C sensor rather than a full frame sensor. I don't have very many lenses and the ones I do have are only compatible with EOS systems, my primary lens being a Sigma 50mm F/1.4. I like the...
