Hi I'd like to say I am happy to be part of this community and I am looking forward to your recommendations and advices for my first DSLR or mirrorless camera. I am finally ready to jump into photography as one of my serious hobbies but currently i don't have any bodies or lens with me. I have been taking pictures with simple point and shoot camera and more recently just my iPhone. My budget is up to 1500 ( or 2000 but rather avoid this since I am a student) for both body and lens. The...
Can anyone give me an educated answer on something, I heard that the image quality is better when shooting on full size RAW as opposed to one of the smaller RAW settings. Is this true? I'm currently shooting on 5D Mark II but soon upgrading to the 5D Mark III. I know about all the other reasons why the sRAW exists, my question is only about the actual image quality. Thanks!
Ok, I think I am writing this only to help get others advice in order for self confirmation that it is ok to keep the camera I just bought tin stead of returning it like I am considering. I bought a good condition Canon 1DS Mark II used from Adorama.com for $840 out the door. When I received the camera yesterday, I took a a few shots of the sky, and immediately when I was looking through the viewfinder I could see a considerable amount of dust since I was pointed at a blue sky. I didn't...
Hello Photographers,I am looking to buy a canon 6D with 24-105mm F/4 Lens - I want to go full frame! Can you tell me if this is a good camera or should i go with something else like sony A7-R?I understand sony is like 36 megapixels - but the high iso of 6d is better.Do you guys suggest i get this or do you have any other suggestions of a cheap full frame camera.I was comparing the 5d Mark ii against the 6d but i couldnt find any noticeable difference apart from 6d having wifi/gps and no built...
Ok So I shoot water sports (from the water) I'm currently using a 1Dmk2 and love many of the attributes of it - frame rate, build quality etc. I find the image quality is quite a way off where I want it to be in anything other than perfect light. So I am trying to figure out if I could live with either a 5D2 or a 6D, these camera's image quality is excellent and high iso also . With regards to the autofocus of these two I can obviously see that they will be nowhere near the 1D and also the...
Hi i have a question related the 6d about the focusing points excluding the center point well i have lens like 50 1.4 , 85 1.8 and 85 1.2L and 135L sometime i avoid to focus and recompose for example (when i shoot at large aperture) are the focusing point excluding the center point good enough to have sharp photos even in the more hard light condition? or the center point is the only usable to shoot with a 85L @ 1.8? are the focusing point (exclunding the center point) better then the 5d...
