Alright, so I bought a Tamron 18-270mm f3.5 lens for my Canon 5D Mark II. It appears to have a lot of black in the corners, ruining a lot of my photos. I was wondering if there is a fix for this! Thanks!

I downloaded Magic Lantern because I needed a means of checking shutter count on my two 6Ds, as well as other probable uses.  Lo, and behold, after carefully scanning the menus 3 or 4 times, I don't see any reference to "Shutter Count."  Have I overlooked something?  If so, I hope someone will tip me off as to what I need to look under. I also noted with interest that Amazon has lots of books explaining the features of ML for all kinds of camera models, including Canon, Nikon, et al, but...

Hi there, throughout high school I was shooting with the Canon t2i (550d) for pleasure and I now want to upgrade as I am taking photography more seriously and the t2i just doesn't cut it for me anymore and I am wanting to get a ff sensor I really enjoy shooting fashion and portrait photography in an outdoor and studio setting. I currently have a budget of aprox $2000 CAD and the Canon 1ds Mark iii ($1400-1700), 1d Mark iv ($1900) and 5d Mark ii ($1000) have all appealed to me within my...

found a 31k clicks Canon 5d mark ii for $800. I'm looking for a full frame camera to play around with, but am on a low budget. I thought this might be a good one but at the same time heard that there might be some reliability issues  (with the focus mainly).  Any advise?

I’d like to get feedback about focus issues I’m having with my Tamron SP 24-70mm F/2.8 I use on my Canon 5D Mark II. The issue is as follows:When I manual focus at the lenses hyperlocal distance the first third of the image is in focus and beyond that point the image is consistently soft to infinity (see image below). Specs: I was shooting at f/11, 24mm, focused at 6ft. Any thoughts or comments? Here’s an annotated image showing the issue. Manually focusing to the lenses hyperlocal distance...

Hi, Does anyone have any experience with this tripod? I am looking for a lightweight travel tripod. This one seems very compact and light. But is it durable, sturdy? Hi, My eternal search for the perfect backpack continues ... I in fact may have asked the same question on this forum before, and indeed I bought one, the Tamrac Mirage 6, which has side-access. This is a good bag, except it is a little small. Now my wife uses it with her Sony A6000 kit. So, for myself, I need a backpack. I like the side-access feature as I can take out/in the camera without having to take off the backpack. Mainly I will be using it for a FF DSLR, such as the Canon EOS 5DII,...

Hello everyone I am looking into buying my first DSLR camera. I asked a number of my photographer friends what they recommend. At least three talked about the Canon EOS 5d Mark ii body. They highly praised the Mark iii. They also noted that the lenses really matter, so it would be useful to get a few recommendations on those as well. I am wondering if it is worth to buy my first DSLR body at a price point of a Mark ii, or even to really splurge and get the Mark iii (I've been looking at USED...

Hello Photography Masters - I've been (gladly) volentold to take graduation pictures at my sister-in-law college. It'll be a small event (±25 graduates + families). It'll be out of state too, so I'd like to be somewhat minimalist on what gears to bring. This will also be my 1st real event photography too! The venue would be both indoor (church) and outdoor. I currently own 5D Mark II & 24-105mm lens. I will have full access to take pictures from any angle and somewhat close distances. I've...
