What is your opinion? Based on projected technical spec reports of what will be essentially the coming 5D Mark IV line, and assuming I shoot RAW and print about 16 X 20…can I expect any significant IQ change?

Hi there! I have a BIG problem. I used a TRANSCEND 32GB (400x) Compact flash card in my Canon 5D M2 to capture video. It has 32GB of footage on it. I can watch the footage back on the camera, and when I connect the card to my computer (tried from the camera itself with mini usb and external card reader with mini usb) I can see it in the import software (tried Iphoto, Image capure and EOS Utility). But once I start the import process it stops suddenly. It actually looses contact and totally...

Hello everybody ! An amateur photographer, I have had an EOS 5Dmk3 for at least two years and I am quite pleased with its performances. My question concerns the AF's capabilities. The user's manual says it may dysfunction in certain circumstances: blurred or indistinct subject, violent backlighting, etc. In my case, it also seems to have problems when the attached zoom lens is aimed at a place or subject where two or more different naturally superimposed vertical planes or levels enter into...

Hi, I'm a new here so be nice. I am about to retire my 20D and am looking at buying a 5D mk i now or I'll save for a 5D mk ii. I like the price of a used mk i as they are only about 500 whereby the mk ii is close to 1200. My use case is for sports, in-door wrestling where I use my 24-70 for action shots.  The 20D lasted a long time and I outgrown the long focus + aperture setting time.   Is the MK i significantly better for fast focusing over the 20D?   what about mk i vs. mk ii...

I know the "help me choose" messages are a dime a dozen, but.....not sure, sometimes the more you read the more confused you get, so...thought I'd throw some more sticks on the fire of my indecision and make a post here :) I have recently begun to feel some....envy of my husband's new, light A6000 and have started seriously considering getting on the mirrorless bandwagon (now that he went and "opened" the door so to speak). I'm not in any particular rush since I have a Canon 5D Mark II,...

I recently bought a Nissin Di866 flash & want to know how I can fire it whilst holding it in my hand as opposed to using the hot shoe. I have both 7D & 5DMk2. How do "Pocket Wizards" work & would they help me here? Cheers.  --lee uk.There are old pilots, & there are bold pilots, but there are no old bold pilots."I'm so fast, when I turn off the light, i'm in bed before the room gets dark" The great Muhammad Ali.

Hello to you all, I'm a brand new member with some new kit on the way and I would like to interrogate the concensus. I started in photography about 20 years ago with a 1977 Olympus OM2n with a 28mm ; 50mm Carl Zeiss; and a Tamron 75-300 set-up, for amateur enjoyment basically that was great for ten years. After digital came out, like many, I waited and waited to see affordable quality and really got started in digital with the Nokia brand of phone cameras and their Carl Zeiss...

I was hooting my daughter volleyball this weekend. I am using a generic battery grip and notice the lag time to push the shutter.  Ordering a Canon grip from Amazon today. Do you think the real CANON grip will improve the shutter lag?...what I mean is sometime I press the button on vertical poistion using the button on the grip and it is very slow sometime to snap the pictures
