Hi, I recently acquired a secondhand Canon 5D Mark I (Classic) that has had the mirror fixed and checked the shutter count from a shop with calibration software and rated the body at 27k actuations. I have 50mm f1.8 attached and using the SD-CF Adapter (Patriot LX Series 32gb Class 10 SDHC > SDXC/SDHC 4th Generation Extreme CF Adapter. I took it out of the bag to take a couple snaps, but I noticed that the picture review didn't show up, the screen remained black, and the red light indicator...

If the sensor in the just announced G7 1" sensor is the same as the start-of-the-art 1" BSI in the RX100-3, I feel that increased the odds for Canon using a variant of the stellar Exmor 36 mpix full-frame in the 5d4 or 6d2. Or not? Caveat: it is still speculation that Sony 1" BSI being used in G7. Am I the only one who really, really hopes Canon takes the same "swallow their pride and losing face" attitude to help speed a competitive 5d4 & 6d2 to market? FWIW:I wasn't surprised that Sony sold...

Hi forum members, I am recording movies when my Canon 5D Mark 3 is upside-down. I would like to have the camera automatically record the movies the right way up, without having to invert them afterwards on my computer. Is there a setting to do this? I have searched through the manual, but can't seem to find anything that helps. Thanks for your assistance.

One thing that really annoy the hell out of me with the E-M1, is how the important EXIF information like ISO, shutter, and aperture are not available when you look at the photos on the LCD, and you must press "info" to get to them, but it forces the histogram onto the screen too and shrinks the photo to the corner. Is there a way to put those EXIF information on the normal playback view (entire photo filling the screen)? With the 5DMKIII, it's only half as annoying, since you can get the...

The image on the camera's display monitor seems to have a very different white balance than the image once it's imported.  Note:  I'm not referring to a white balance issue in settings, but rather, the appearance of the image on the camera's display window, as compared to the image once it's imported to my computer. Also, my monitor is regularly calibrated, and I'm quite satisfied that its white balance is accurate, since the prints I order via my professional photo lab come back looking very...

Your opinion(s) and advice would be appreciated. I am trying to decide which should be my first prime lens for the X-T1. I primarily take landscape pictures (as a hobby) and I have come to the conclusion that it is a choice between the XF-14mm f/2.8R and the XF-23mm f/1.4R lenses. Having only recently come to Fuji from Canon FF I am quite used to using both 24mm and 35mm focal lengths on the Canon FF (5D Mk2). The 23mm would give me the equivalent of my FF 35mm but the 14mm would be the...

Hi folks, Can you tell me if this combination works. I've just borrowed a 5d mkII from a friend and wanted to put my 15-85mm EF-S lens on it to try for the weekend but i cannot seem to get it to fit. When I put it back on my 60d, it just slots in easily but with the 5d, it doesn't.  Is this a combination that doesn't couple together? Thanks

Hi can anyone help me, I was experimenting shooting with aeb in manual mode on canon 54D mkIII but now I no longer have the option of returning to single brackets and can no longer amend the exposure setting using the wheel on the back as i had done previously.  I have been into Menu>SHOOT2 to amend the AEB exposure but now the single bracketing is greyed out and all i can do is amend the AEB.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
