Does anyone have any idea what happens to new cameras that have been manufactured but not sold. For example when Canon released the 5D2 what happened to any unsold 5D (original)? I assume that they didn't go through a development/manufacturing cycle and witheld release until the very last example of the 5D was sold. Or am I wrong?

I'm using a Fujifilm XT1 with 18-55mm and 56mm f/1.2 lens. I'm very happy with the images it produce, and specially the Valvia color profile. Now I need 300mm lens, for baseball and plane shots, Fuji does not have that lens. Should I update to a Nikon D750/D810 with 300mm f/4 or Canon 5D III with 300m f/4What do you guys think?

I got a Polaris light meter for flash metering and I have a quick question in regards to the sync speed setting needed. Basically do you enter your camera's max sync speed (so for my D300s would be 250 and my 5D 200)? Or you enter your current shooting shutter speed which of course varies but is always below each respective max sync speed? Thanks in advance

Id like to be able to shoot on 2 different settings on a Canon 5d mk3 and 600ex, firstly say on 1/200 f8 at 500 iso with etl flash, then on the second shot, using natural light, say 1/60 f4 iso 3200 without flash, then alternating between the two to have two different types of effects pre set. I was wondering if this was possible to achieve in the settings without having to manually adjust each time ?

Hello. I have Canon 5d mk ii and I use Canon 28mm 1.8 lens. I like the camera and lens. Usually I shoot with f2 Iso3200 in AV mode. So in dark situations shutter speed slows down to 1/10 or even less. So I would like to know if there is setting for AV mode, to not allow camera shutter speed to be lower than 1/15 or 1/25. Thanks I know there is also posibility to use TV mode, but I prefer more natural colours and light in my pictures. and of course I am using flash in indoor photogrpahu - 430exii

I have a Canon EOS5D MkIII and (would) like to do (among other things) food, insect and flower photography. I've a number of zoom and prime lenses (including the EF 50mm f/1.4) but no macro lens. 1. I'm potentially looking at the Canon EF 50mm f/2.5 Compact Macro but I'm confused on a number of points. Firstly, looking at the spec the lens is described as producing 0.5X shots but reading the product description from one trader that states "Optional Converter for 1:1 Macro". Is this a separate...

Good morning Nikonians :) I really need some help with using my D700. I have two concerns and both have to do with color rendition. I shoot uncompressed raw and use mostly 24-70 2.8 and 50 1.4 for portrait and people photos Smaller Concern: #1 Outdoors: No matter the lighting somehow it can never get it right. When taken under cloudy skies I get accurate but somewhat washed out colors (may be slightly overexposed). This is easily corrected in PP and I can batch process them. On sunny days...

I have a 5D Mark I, which runs vers 1.1.0 firmware. How do I shoot video? Having bought the camera second-hand, I don't have the original instruction book. Online videos talk only about shooting video with the MKII or MKIII. Thank you.

I just cleaned my sensor and then I found something which surprised me. There are 2 burn marks on the black surface above the mirror and below the focussing screen. I researched this a bit and found a very good picture that looks exactly as my camera https://www.flickr.com/photos/48856435@N05/5123263248/ That guy seems to have similar burn marks and he claims it's from the sun. No I absolutely cannot remember that I every shot directly into the sun but perhaps the camera was hanging in an...

Hello, what follows is so annoying: I am using a 5Dmk2 in AV mode with a Speedlite flash in ETTL mode. I am shooting a group portrait on tripod, on the pictures I took, the flash always triggers yet the camera stays stupidly in low shutter speed, therefore all my shots are properly exposed yet useless with so much motion blur (speeds like 1/3 sec). I was told using AV mode with a flash in ETTL was totally cool, the camera would adjust the shutter speed because of the flash extra light, yet...
