I went to a camera shop yesterday to get one of the Retrospective bags. I'm looking for a small bag where I can carry my 6D body (gripped) with the 24-105 attached, and nothing else. I was debating between the 5 and 7, however when I looked at the 5 It didn't look like my camera would fit, and the sales guy also assured me it would not, so I didn't even try and moved on to the 7. The 7 is an amazing bag, but it's too big for a walk around bag. Plus, I already have a backpack that I can carry...
I have looked through the pdf manual and I cannot find any mention of these. My Canon 5D has a physical button which allows me to lock exposure then recompose. Similarly, when I half press the shutter, it locks on focus and I can then recompose. How would I do these things on the alpha 7? Cheers Waddo
I also posted this in the 5D thread. I'm hoping someone will be able to offer some ideas. I have a 70-200 f/4L non-IS lens that has been acting strangely. I've owned it for 3 years, but over the past few weeks, it's been hunting (and not finding) focus when pointed at distant objects while zoomed in. If I point at closer objects (10-20 feet), it's fine. Or if I zoom further out, it's fine for distance. When it hunts, it's very rapid in a narrow range near infinity. Almost like a chattering...
I've learned from Abes of Maine that the 5D III I just ordered is an international unit, and they won't stand behind any warrantee. Would have to be sent back to GB. Anyone know whether Canon USA would repair a new camera? How big of a risk is this purchase, do you think? Thanks. Stephen
I have run into a dilemma. Currently, I am using Canon 6D with a 24-70 F/2.8 and 70-200 F/2.8 mainly for sports photography (everything Ice Hockey to High school Volleyball). I mud admit the Canon 6D is great camera but I find it greatly struggling to grab the focus accurately and quickly. I don't think I will be able to use it longer as I am stepping up to shooting higher levels of sports for Junior Ice Hockey and University sports. The Canon 1DX is simply out of my price range, so would it...
Hi all, Can anyone on here tell me if there is much of a size difference between the 5D classic and either the 5D mk 2 or mk 3?? Odd question I know but I have a 5Dc and want to buy an aqua tech housing for a 5D2/3 and need to low if it will physically fit. Anyone have these two or three cameras to check? Much appreciation, thanks. Dan
