This is a re-post since I didn't receive much feedback from the original, wrong location?http://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/56807855 I presently own Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM mounted on an EOS 70D. Prior to that the lens was mounted on an EOS Rebel T2i all with successful positive results in still photography as long as I had plenty of natural light or used a flash. This lens is my primary portrait and every day shooting lens. My other two lenses that I own are EF L-lenses (135mm...
Hi everyone, I recently bought a yongnuo yn-e3-rt to be used with my Yongnuo Yn600ex-rt, but it seems not to work with my camera, a 550d (t2i) although there isn't any reference about it not working together. Could you help me with this problem? Has anyone had porblems with this combo? Thanks fpr your help in advance.
My canon rebel t2i was recently on a tripod and tipped over. It fell lens first. I did not notice any visible damage at first but soon realized that it was difficult to turn the lens to zoom, as though something was caught in it. I took the lens off and in it was this plastic piece with metal prong like things attached. The camera still works but the images are poor quality and it does not auto focus now. I'm hoping someone can tell me what this piece is and any suggestions of what to do. I...
First time poster, long time browser. I'm looking to buy a 70d soon, I have a max budget of around £700 ($1,050). I had planned on purchasing the 70d with the 18-135mm IS STM kit lens as buyers seemed happy with it and I liked the idea of a longer focal range on a walk about and would probably use the auto focus function with video from time to time. The thing that puts me off is the poor image quality of my 18-55mm IS kit lens (on 550d) and DXO Mark scoring the 18-135mm STM ever so slightly...
I have been trying to figure out if there is any way to know how far a subject is away from the lens without knowing the subject's actual size or what part he/she takes up in the focus. Looking at this EXIF print out from a Nikon 550D: https://www.flickr.com/photos/cfletcher86/5744389335/meta/in/photostream One of the lines says "subject distance 0.39m" is this just a crude estimate or how is this possible unless there is just another sensor in the camera calculating distance similar to a...
hello .. i wana to shot a raw video on my t2i with magic lantern which requires a very fast memory card .. i liked the lexar 128GB 1000x 150MB/s & i want to buy it. so is it compatible with my canon 550D/t2i or its faster than it .. beacause i read that the max bitrate of the t2i is 45MB/s !!
Hey guys! I have a canon 550D body and I would like to buy one lens to take with me on a travel to Peru. The lens should cover landscapes (machu picchu!!), and all the normal general purpose duties like a bit of portraits, architecture etc. I'm really struggling to chose only one lens which will suite best for this body. I'm planning to upgrade the body soon so the purchase of the lens will be long term investment. I'm thinking either Tamron 24-70 f2.8 or Canon 70-200 f4. I know the ideal...
