I have a $4000 budget to upgrade my equipment. I currently have Canon T2i w/ the following Canon lenses: 50mm f/1.4 70-300mm f/4 - 5.6 L 10-22mm EFS 15-85mm EFS 60mm Macro EFS I purchased the Canon 5D Mark III w/ 24-105mm kit, as I have been lusting after this camera for years for all the great shots that have come out of it. I love the photos especially with the 50mm attached. However, I am a bit disappointed with the noise on my RAW photos - and the fact that they really aren't much better...

I've been a hobbyist since the Canon 550d/T2i came out a few years back. I've been using the ef-s 17-55 f2.8 and the ef 70-200 f4 L non-IS. I "think" that my skills have increased over that time and am considering upgrading my gear in order to do some gigs here and there. Reason I'm thinking about upgrading. I recently had the opportunity to do some publicity shots for a friend of mine who works in a local theater. Well, with the lighting conditions the way they were - I couldn't get my gear...

I currently shoot with a Canon T2i and the only type of shots that it does really well are, stationary shallow DoF shots with no straight lines or fine detail. Anything with fine detail that moves (foliage, text) gets destroyed by the line skipping recording method that this (and all cams with this sensor?) uses. Anything with straight lines is victim too (shingled roof) with lots of moiré and false color artifacts. So if I had to check off items on a "Need to be improved" list it would...

Hello, I have a Canon T2i with 24-105 as my every day lens.  I also have the 70-200 (not f 2.8 non IS).  I am going to a trip to Yellowstone and wanted to purchase a Super Zoom that will take photos of wildlife.  What do you recommend?  I will still bring my dslr but I feel that buying a super zoom for specific shots, wildlife in the early morning and at dusk, will be less expensive than a new lens. I have looked at the Panasonic FZ200 and liked that it uses f 2.8 through the whole zoom...

I am thinking of buying a used EOS M and am wondering how much should I be paying in GB£? I haven't decided whether to go for a body and adapter, or body and a lens. I already own a 70D and a 550D with a battery grip and want the M for portability when travelling as I don't always want to carry my DSLR(s). Lens wise I already have the nifty fifty, the shorty forty and 18-55 non STM lenses, plus I have the 24-105mm L (though I can't see me using that on an EOS M). There is a retailer wher I...

As a general rule, should I be using the lowest possible ISO for time exposures?  I wanted to try this on an evening shot of bridge traffic nearby.  Also, a rough idea of F stop/shutter speed as a starting point would help.  The intent is to have continuous/seamless light trails.  Thanks.

I need some solid advice, so appreciate any help I can get. Apologies for the length of this post... skip to the end if you want the quick question. I am trying to upgrade from a Canon Rebel T2i to a more advanced and professional camera. I hope to do sports photography in the future, along with other uses like portraits, landscapes, nightscapes, etc. I don't, however, do much of any macro or studio work. My main issue is that I have a few decent lenses (kit, zoom, and ultra wide) for my...
