Recently I shot a dance event using my EF 50mm f/1.4 USM on my 550D / T2i.Flickr LinkWhat this link have are keepers but some of the non included photos went OOF. and I had a very hard time getting the focus. I used AF Servo when moving and Single shot when they are sitting or staying still. I'm very clear limitation is in the system not in me in this case. I'm wondering whether I should upgrade my lens. 50mm f/1.2 is more expensive and again it has worse focusing as well. So came the sigma...

Hi! Maybe it´s an stupid question... but here it goes... I´m a dentist and often I take pictures of my clinical cases... In situations of dental bleaching, I often set the same aperture, exposure, etc...  to keep my pictures standartized (does this word exist?) to check colors changes in the teeth. But sometimes I forget and use another aperture. I just realize this aftewards, when my client is not at the office anymore... So my pictures sometimes are much brighter. I´m not concerned at DOF,...

Hi guys, I love travel photography and was lucky enough to catch a few good photos over the years (https://500px.com/guyn) but I feel I've been stuck in the same spot for quite some time due to a combination of gear and lack of theoretical knowledge (I've never learned photography). I'm planning a 1 month holiday in Japan later this year and want to kit myself out and try do things better this time and really need your advise. Current kit is: Canon 550D with 18-200mm, 17-55mm 2.8f lenses, and...

Hi everyone.  I enjoy photography as a hobby and I am looking for a new lens.  Being a novice photographer, I don't really understand "photography language" so it can be hard to read reviews and know exactly what people are saying.  I own a Canon EOS Rebel T2i and the kit lens that came with it, an 18-55mm lens.   Ultimately, I would like to purchase an upgrade from my kit lens - something I can use for everyday photos.  I would also like to purchase a lens that is good for portraits, and...

I will be going for a trekking holiday. Nepal carrying my canon 550D with variable lenses would be a weight problem , changing lenses would also be an issue. so I was opting for a compact camera with sufficient zoom ( 20x ) and preferably the panoramic scene mode. Quality of pics is important too. I was opting for the Nikon cool pic range which seem quite reasonably priced. please could you help me out. thanks Jo Azzopardi
