The fourth generation of Canon's hugely popular entry-level digital SLR. In the face of increasing competiton at the budget end of the market the EOS 450D / Digital Rebel XSi aims a little higher and is a fairly significant update to its predecessor that inherits many features from the more expensive EOS 40D. It may no longer be the cheapest, but from an image quality point of view the EOS 450D sets the standard for cameras at this level, and has a comprehensive feature set that lift it above the typical 'entry level' fare.

Opinion: A significant upgrade from XTi!
I have XTi, and I use it for stock photography. Considering it is an entry level SLR, the image quality is far more dependent on the lens you use, rather than on the camera. So, seeing the improvements of XSi, as in 12 Mpix chip and liveview, I am determined to upgrade as soon as it gets out.
Also, I wish to post one of the first comments :D

Problems: One thing I was annoyed with Rebel XTi, and is now introduced in XSi, is lack of 2sec. timer, that was only available through custom func. Mirror Lookup. XSi has it as a standard.
Opinion: I got this as a Gift !!!WoW was i happy
Opinion: should not I compensate the 5 star rating this camera enjoys before anyone bought it?
Problems: The camera is not yet in the market. but people are rating it. That is the only problem.
Opinion: same as previous. Cannot let some stupid people put top ratings even before camera is out. Just balancing the ratings.
