I previously owned the version 1 of this lens, which was an excellent lens. I used it for wildlife, events, weddings, pretty much every thing that doesn't involve wide angle shooting. the version 1 was fantastic. I only just got the version 2 and started playing with it. The improvements are immediately apparent. The focusing is notably faster, the images are even more crisp (like that was even possible), and I love the fact that I can get in even closer to focus. Based on these initial ...

I have bought far too many lenses - just ask my better half. I resisted buying this lens, because I didn't think that it could compete with my fast primes. In some ways it can't. But last year, I bought my first zoom for a very long time: a 24-70 f2.8L II. This lens proved to me that Canon's fast zooms are able to compete, IQ wise and handling-wise, with my 35L and 50L. I decided that after having got the 24-70 that I would get the 70-200 if, for no other reason, they would make a good travel ...

I love this lens.  It quickly became my "go to" lens on both my 7D and 5D MK III for virtually everything.  However, I'd warn those buying this lens that if you find it loose on your camera out of the box, send it back immediately.  Mine was loose from day one.  About 15 months later it started experiencing communication errors with all three of my Canon cameras.  After paying 283.00 Canon replaced the mount because it was "worn".  It now fits snug like all my other Canon lenses.  Would that ...

I use this Lens for Wildlife  and Portraits it is stunning simply stunning  fast at f2.8 although a bit heavy, after a while but so what if you get the results... The AF acts like an arrow on target very  quick... Love it love it..

Just got this lens a couple of days ago, and boy, this lens is the best zoom lens I've ever had or used. I bought it mainly for fashion photo shoots, backstage photo shoots and video shoots using a 5D Mark-III. Knowing the special this lens really is starts way before using it, you can feel it the moment you take it out of the box, the build, the construction, everything about it is special, even the color! I had been reading a lot about it so I already know how good the lens is,  spending no ...

This is optically absolutely incredible lens. There is no better general range tele - this is it. Yes it is $2400, but this is one lens that you will keep for a long time. And if you dislike it, you'll resell it in few years and maybe lose $200-300 on it. Wedding photogs would eat it alive. The only con is its heavy and the weight might get to some people. 135L is half the weight.... but I sold 135L when I got 70-200..... it is just much more versatile. And 4-stop IS helps with ...
