The Canon EF 35mm F1.4L USM is a high-quality medium wideangle prime lens for Canon's full-frame and APS-C format DSLRs. Offering a fast maximum aperture of F1.4, this gorgeously well-built lens is very useful in poor light, as well as for achieving effective subject/background separation for portraits and candid photography. One Canon shooter on the dpreview.com staff tells us that this is the only lens in his collection that he'd save if his house was burning down.
