It's a great lens for low-income people who want a very cheap 28-80 on full-frame or 45-128 on APS-C. It has the worst image quality I have ever seen on a lens. It has a plastic mount. Its AF works but doesn't inspire much more confidence than the 50/1.8. It's small and light. I give this lens two stars for two reasons: 1. If you get a good specimen it's a totally adequate if decidedly mediocre lens. QC wasn't the best and some suffered centering problems - sometimes with more than one element - and a soft image. Some are better and some are even properly assembled and in tolerance and therefore usable. And 2. It's better than nothing. LOL~~~ take out the front element and turn off AF then you will find the beauty of this lens. lol....under $50 super macro lens! enjoy! in terms of normal walkaround lens, this is a horrible lens IMO.
