Hello guys , i will be shooting a wedding this month with my friend. I will shooting the tradition part and the stage photos while he will be clicking candid shots. I will be using a 5D Mk iii. I don't understand which lens should i use which will cover both my needs of group photos and nice depth to traditional photos. I'm thinking between canon 24-70 f2.8 and canon 16-35 f2.8. you suggestions and comments on what will be the right choice for me and yes even some other lens will do. Thank you

Hello everyone. Apologies for what is probably a dumb and over asked question..... I'm wanting to get a good quality wide angle. I currently use a 6D but will be upgrading soon to either a 5DSR or possibly a 5D mk IV (whenever it is eventually released etc...) I mistakenly bought a Sigma 12-24 mk ii a month or so ago (I say mistakenly, because I bought it online from Amazon when a little merry after a few glasses of wine). This Sigma, is both too wide for my liking and doesn't produce good...

Hello All, I am currently looking to upgrade my lens Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM to either: - Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM - Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM - Canon EF 17-40mm f/4.0L USM Will be using this lens for Landscape and Night Photography, well basically anytime I go out of town, I shall carry this lens. Currently I try to learn more into Night Photography. I did try those three lenses and must say, am getting really confused as am happy with all the results. Therefore I would...

Hi everyone - just wanted to let you know (after the fantastic advice from this forum) that I ended up getting the 5d3 + 24-70mm f/2.8 II USM IS + 70-300mm f/4 - 5.6L IS USM + 16-35mm f2.8 Mark II USM and have travelled extensively with the 1st 2 lenses and handled it fine ! I love the sharpness of the 24-70mm and the 70-300mm has been on my camera ALOT ! Even tho the reach for Africa may have been lacking - but thats OK as I knew that would be the case ! In found in Africa I was taking so...

Right now I have a 60D with a 28-135 kit lens and a nifty fifty that I've been using for a little bit more than a year now. It's clear to me that you should invest in lenses before you worry about the camera body, but if I can get both an L lens and a 5D, is it worth the investment to switch from the 60D that I have? I am talking purely image quality, as I am fully willing to carry around a heavier camera with me wherever I go. I feel that if I just got the 24-70 f/2.8 II, that I wouldn't be...

Hi. Just noticed some circles on my latest photos in Nuuk, Greenland. Can any one tell me why there appears faint circles on the middle of every frame?  Is it because I took the camera out to cold air (-8 celsius).  I have a Canon 5D Mark II, 16-35 2.8 L.  ?? Haven't noticed them on older photos ..

This is about zooms: 16-35, 24-70, and 70-200. Canon is unique in offering both F2.8 and F4 versions. Nikon only has F2.8. Sony FE (the new A7 models) are only F4. But there are differences: 1) While the 70-200 has IS for both apertures, the F4 has for the 16-35 and the 24-70. For low light stills, IS may provide 2-4 F-stops more light with a slower shutter speed (although with more motion blur of a moving subject) while the F2.8 is just one F-stop faster. For low light stills, F4 IS would...

i currently have a canon 16-35 f/2.8L II. while i like the lens mostly, sometimes the images are softer than i would like them to be. and the distortion is just ridiculous at smaller focal lengths. i'm looking to upgrade to something better. don't care if it is prime or zoom, auto focus or full manual. i just need the best image possible with a 5D Mark III and i need it to be under 20mm. i looked at the Carl Zeiss 15mm Distagon T* f/2.8 ZE. i'm thinking that may be my best option. but before...
