I have a Canon Powershot SX50 HS... I usually make short videos using the same.. But the audio quality is very bad... I came across Rode Video Mic GO On-Camera Microphone(3.5mm output jack). It is a shotgun mic which can be inserted on hotshoe of camera.. I wanted to know if it will work with my Camera. There is a Mini-B plug on the camera side. The jack is a combined USB/AV port used for both data transfer and video/stereo audio output. There's a Mini HDMI (Type C) port for high-def output,...

I saw this lens on Ebay and I was wondering if anyone has seen this before. I thought the SX50 was already wide angle, but could it get even wider shots with a lens like that? Some opinions about it would be nice. I'm still a photography newbie :p Professional 58mm Wide Angle Lens with Adapter Ring for Canon SX30, SX40, SX50

The spec sheet (both on the Canon site and on dpreview) for the Canon Powershot SX50 HS contains the following video information: "Miniature Effect (HD, L) 6fps, 3fps, 1.5 fps" Can anyone tell me what this is?  Has anyone out there used this setting?  I'm especially interested in the 6fps video--since the burst mode on this camera is so anemic, perhaps the 6fps video could be a partial solution?

Hi all It's been several years since I bought a new camera. Last one was a Panasonic TZ9 which has succumbed to the 'dust inside' issue they seem to suffer from and it can't be fixed (we've tried). I don't want to go back to Panasonic as I wasn't really happy with the image quality and  I'd prefer to go back to a Canon which was what my original digital camera was (PowerShot A610). I still look at some of the pics I took with that camera and love them as they're so clear. The thing is -- I...

Hi, I am trying to buy a decent camera with a little bit extra zoom in moderate budget. Currently stuck between Nikon Coolpix l600 and Canon PowerShot SX50 HS. Which one of these will be good for a long run. Also suggest if there is any other alternative. I am from India. Thanks in advance. Regards, sarbazeet

Hi all, Back to 2006, the first zoom camera I bought was Panasonic FZ20, 12x, 5MP. It was great at that time, I got sharp images especially at 1600 x 1200 and less sharp at higher resolutions.  Recently, I bought FZ200 and I was disappointed with IQ, I only got sharp images at lower resolutions which is not good in today's standards! the best thing in this camera is slow-motion video which is reach 120 frame per second in HD quality (I think it is lower, but scaled up to HD dimensions) . I...

HELP!I have missed too many good shots of my kids the last few years! (See that blur? That one's mine). High school graduation and a lot of "lasts" coming next year. Need a good camera that will take pictures indoors and out (graduation in the stadium, choir, band & orchestra in the auditorium). Will need a good zoom (super zoom?) My daughter is a pianist and I can't use a camera that makes a shutter sound during concerts, so a DSLR is out. (Some programs have actually stated "no 'snap'...
