Very good telephoto zoom, good details at maximum zoom, very good IS, let you get good quality photo (best from compact camera) at equiv. f=400mm! For this: 5 stars! Very slow camera, you will miss many photos if you are not already prepared to get it. The zoom is slow (it is right that it is long), the AF is very slow. Also, take to long until take the next shut. The white balance is not so good and the color in artificial light are not fine too. For this: 2.5 stars! I tested 2 cameras, one ...

I'm a long time Canon user: I tried the Lumix TZ-10 and had such a disaster with the Mac interface that I sent it back and got one of these instead. I'm seriously impressed. Everything works pretty much the way I expect, and a couple of the first shots I've taken have been quite extraordinary in level of detail and sharpness for a camera this size. The video works very well, and the zoom is pretty wonderful. The pop-up flash thing is only a mild irritant - I quickly got into the habit of ...

Being a pro-Canon owner, I find the sx210is easy to use. I had A520 and Ixus85, and wanted a higher MP and higher zoom camera with all the manual features available without the need to go for an SLR. I agree with most of the users here which do not like the flash position, which will obstruct the handling of the camera. Pictures are first class provided you know how to use the manual settings available. Never use 'Auto' mode, for I'd be using my Ixus if I needed such. Would normally use Tv to ...

**** "The Little Camera that Could" **** I own and used the SX210 since April 2010. This is the best of it's class. It covers all areas with typical Canon "Point and Shoot Quality. The lens reaches from 28-392mm, which is amazing, but needs a little practice. If someone is not interested in using the full range of this lens, then a normal range "Point and Shoot" whould be easier to use. If you want a "All in One" pocket device then this is it. Problems: None

I use vid quite a bit and this is really good, upgraded from TZ1, still getting used to the system, SLR would be nice but in fact this is practical for me, I travel light and require point and squirt, this is compact non lumpy massive spec re. optical zoom and image size. Am using cheap 8gig sd class 2 and little problem, after the old TZ1 screen this is a delight, no regrets at the moment just learning its power and quirks, face/smile recognition etc. Panasonic ZS7 looks nice , bit lumpy ...

Good pictures, on par with panasonic zs7, but lags on auto focus time adjust, and in proper exposure auto adjustment. This greatly affects the video performance, to a point that everything is blurry often, and exposure goes in and out (washes out the image). This is why I bought a Sony DSC-HX5 instead of the other two. Problems: video auto focus takes a lot of time to adjust, causing the image to be very blurry and obviously not sharp at all. That's why I bought the Sony DSC-HX5 which has ...

Firstly let me say that the first four reviews are a waste of time and should be removed, Anyway bought this PowerShot SX 210IS to replace my PowerShot SX100IS I usually change my camera after about six months or so but held on to my SX100IS because I really liked it and did not really see any reason to change for face lifted models with a few more mega pixels, I was temped by the PowerShot SX200IS but never bought because of the flash always staying up. The PowerShot SX210IS firstly the ...

Ok.. I actually have the camera. The store I got it said it was backordered but there were actually 3 in stock so I bought one. YOu can read the stats as far as what it has. I will be brief. The camera is excellent. It does very well in outdoors, indoors flash and no flash low light stitations. It can go full manual as well as auto and a number of pre programmed settings. It's high definition video and stereo sound are great. At first the position of the flash seems annoying but in a ...

Why are these idiots not censored? This camera is not even available. I might also be going for a DSLR but at least I will have the decency to wait until the camera is available and reviewed.
