The SX130 IS combines the A-series' build quality, AA-battery power and value for money with a long zoom. The SX130's zoom range has been increased to 12x but more importantly now comes with a real wide-angle (28mm). Compared to its predecessor (SX120 IS) it also sees a resolution increase to 12MP, SDXC support,HD movie recording and additional scene modes including a Miniature mode. The rest of the features remain the same including a 3.0" LCD, P/A/S/M shooting and image stabilization.

Opinion: I bought the sx130is because i was disappointed by the IQ from my former point 'n shoot.Shure, the sx is bulky and not the most stylish cam on the globe, but - except of the sluggish flash recycling time - it delivers an amazing Image Quality, an easy 2 use Interface, lot's of bells and whistles and great ergonomics. Colours are vibrant, the stabilizer works under nearly all circumstances and all for just little more than 130 Euro (in germany) - Clear recommendation!

Problems: None.

Opinion: i had this camera for one of my friend and asked me to suggest some. i suggested it and tried my hands on it for some time. Pretty good camera indeed when it comes to value.

Pros:
1. HD movie recording.
2.quality zoom
3.good build
4.canon excellent sensor.
5.easy handling
6.FULL manual control

Cons:
1.low image quality on high iso
2.stabilizer is not so good
3.poor performance on continuous mode
4.not so good camera grip
5.very poor performance in low light

well..if you are looking for a camera..as your first buy and quite interested in photography but dont want to burn a hole in your pocket. its the one you are looking for. as i said in the summary...the manual control is going to teach you the basics of photography but for a real enthusiast the poor performance in low light and harsh image quality in higher iso will turn out to be real turn offs. but overall pretty handy one. the camera grip can be better and the shaky images will happen frequently. but if it is your first buy..i bet you..you are going to get grooved to it. YES...ITS CANON after all..:)
