The camera is great for it's price. 10MP may not sound many , as now almost all cameras are 14 or more , but who needs the image to be crystal clear at 10 mp resolution ? When you resize them down to 1600x1200 it's perfect.I love it's macro , and the tele zoom.It keeps low noise up to ISO 400 ,and it starts to be notable (tiny dots) only when you reach ISO 800 . But in this kind of situations there is a enough powerful flash that can deliver you a good quality image. It's a good camera , that ...

Great little extended zoom digicam. Definitely more Pros than Cons. Pros: - 36mm-360mm lens - P/A/S/M - LCD live preview showing exposure simulation (you know what the shot will look like before you snap it) - really fast shot-to-shot times in M mode with MF - pop-up flash - wheel instead of a simple directional pad to control settings - nicely polished and easy to use menu - relatively compact size for 10x zoom Cons: - mode dial kind of stiff - zoom could be smoother and respond to applied ...

Bought this cam on a whim at Wal-Mart for $199.00. Even had 2 batteries and a small SD card with it, which most cams don't include. It's built with the usual high quality that Canon is known for, except maybe for the battery cover door. The little plastic door will be the first thing to break if you drop it. It is attractively designed with good modern styling and smooth rounded corners. Comfortable to carry and fits in most pockets, although it will be noticeable. It's features remind me of ...

to be honest my construction rate was 3 but i gave 5 points becuz of mellowpaul's rating. It s not fair his or her votes. 120 IS's aperture values are very good and wider than many compact cameras (f=2.8) whıch are close rivials, iso results are better than i expected, video quality is very good for vga, image qualty depends on ur manuel skill, outdoor portraits are excellent, wider diafragma aperture bokehs are good enough, battery life is good if u use NiMh batteries and finally ...

Overall good pocket camera with a long optical zoom. Problems: Very noticeable color fringing along dark lines on light background, and EATS batteries.

I bought this camera as an (imagined) upgrade from the previous SX110. This turned out to be a bad move, partly because it added nothing significant to SX110, though the results are nearly as good. Problems: Two main issues: a) The super-fine compression setting has gone, which seems to me to be a retrograde step. b) The ludicrous battery/card release slot is a disaster waiting to happen.

Bought this for the 10x zoom and it is quite impressive, photo quality is good, low to no noise in manual mode without the flash. A good substitute to a DSLR when you don't want to lug a huge camera around and the little compacts just don't fully add up. I'd recommend this compact DSLR for those who are thinking of getting into photography and don't want to put out all that cash immediatelly. Problems: The Battery/memory card door seems flimsy, difficult to open and feels fragile once ...

I bought this camera (while on a buisness trip in the USA) te be a smaller and lighter backup to my 450D, a camera that I can take anywhere. I am very impressed with the layout, the functions and specifically the 10x optical zoom. It is great value for money. Battery life is very good and the flash works brilliantly (no pun intended). Unfortunately, flaring on daylight pictures especially at the edges is quite bad. So, in summary it is excellent for snaps, even for serious snapshots, but ...

I bought this camera as a replacement for a Canon SX110 IS which I truly loved. Unfortunately for me the 110 grew legs and walked away from me. Well I love this 120 even more. The battery life is much better, it shoots alot faster than the old 110 and the flash seems alot more powerful making low light pics easier... I find the pictures are sharper than before, so to say I recommend this camera is a understatement... Problems: The sd card/battery door feels a bit flimsy, and is way to tight.
