This camera is by no mean small. It is as big as the oly420 But I like the camera, the emporte thing for me was the hotshoe,so I am able to shoot with the external flash 430EXII This is an big flash,So I am glad the camera support this flash verry good. Its shoot almost like an Dslr, and when you go out,it feel like an dslr. However picture qalitie while it is good,is by no mean Dslr qalitie. But then I was thinking how muts cost an 100-400MM lens. While I use the tamron 70-300 Mm the picture I ...

This is my first real camera (all the prior ones have been compact ones), and I have fallen in love with the Canon sx10 IS. Its amazingly easy to use and produces great results. While image is quality is excellent, a little more sharpness to the pictures would be nice. The high zoom is very good (20x), and produces good results even at the high end of zoom without using a tripod, which is very useful when you want to capture birds or antyhing quickly. While the overall construction is ...

This camera CAN turn out a lovely photo, BUT, since I've had it (1000+ photos) at least 5% of the photos hae come out with a 2-3 degree tilt on them. I don't know if it is the viewfinder (I don't use the back screen) or the physical shape of the camera, but even with the gridlines in the display shooting against a clear horizon and a degree of attention turning to obsession, I still get back home and find loads of shots needing photoshopping straight again. The viewfinder is rubbish mind you: ...

I have had this camera 4-6 weeks and have shot 600-800 pics with it and love it. It is not for everyone. If you want something you can carry in your pocket for a quick snapshot don't get it. This camera requires multiple readings of the manual and lots of field practice to get the best out of it. I used the manual setting a lot as I like to create my on image. I have a circular polarizer and a UV filter that I sometime use. Auto settings are good and color options (B&W Sepia, etc) are ...

Thanks to DPreview on the comparison on the noise factor between SX1,SX10 and EOS1000 on the ISO 80 setting, this has convince to choose this camera. Bought this SX10 few days back Have taken >500 picture on it Like: -Swing-flip LCD, I like to use the view finder and fliped LCD to close position, this help to keep the screen clean from my oily face. The LCD helps alot while take super marcro picture on flower where your neck not require to bend down. -Button location: all are at the finger tips

My main gripe is the small LCD with only 250,000 LCD Dots. I am looking forward to the SX1 IS. The fear of losing the lens cap is inane. I just bought an extra lens cap for $3.50 and keep it in the camera bag in case I need it. The 52 mm lens caps are easy to find and inexpensive. Problems: Manual focus is unusable and the lens is too slow.

I would like to ask you guys which camera is the best one: Canon SX10 or Panasonic FZ28. I read many reviews and the most says that both are great cameras but I would like to know from the owers. Does anyone have had both cameras? Which one is the best?

I have had this camera for about two months. Bought it as a replacement for a Kodak z812 is. This camera can produce great images in auto mode, but where the sx10 is really shines is when you experiment with the other modes. I particularly like the manual mode. Reading the manual a few times is a MUST when using these modes. I had to go back numerous times to figure out what I was doing right/wrong. After taking a few hundred pics experimenting with the various shooting modes, I have ...

I have owned three models in this series, which should give an indication that I really like this level of camera. For me, the best feature is the 20x optical zoom (it gets insane if you add digital). You will get amazing pictures that you never thought possible before. This goes hand-in-hand with the image stabilization, which is absolutely necessary at higher magnifications if you shoot hand-held. They have consolidated what used to be buttons located all over the body, to the control ...

+ Zoom is fine + manual activation of built in flash is ok Problems: - does not show Battery standing ... (camera stops activities within seconds after a short flash) .....the cheapest mobile phone does better! - No real thread on the lens (for accessories?) - manual focussing is very boring
