The SX10 IS was a relatively subtle evolution of the S5 IS, and Canon didn't exactly break new ground here, but it addressed several of the key concerns we had with the SX10's predecessor (the lack of a wideangle lens, annoying SD card slot in the base, mediocre electronic viewfinder), and the result was a camera that upped the ante in this competitive sector of the market. In terms of image quality we found the SX10 to deliver excellent metering, bright but natural color and good edge to edge detail across the zoom range at lower ISO settings. Like all the cameras in this class the high ISO output was considerably less impressive, though it was one of the better performers at ISO 400-800.

Opinion: Dor de cotovelo é lixada ... secalhar tens alguma Nikon
Opinion: I am impressed with the image quality and image stabilization. I really like the flip monitor. Great camera. I have no affiliation with Canon or seller other than being just a customer.
Problems: None so far.
Opinion: Excellent image quality - the zoom coupled with the Digiac 4 processor and the IS of
the in body really is impresssive. It is impossible to belive that this camera can take
pictures that just a few years back requried a 35mm crop sensor SLR.
Mucho Bang for the Buck!!!
Opinion: We replaced my wife's S3 IS with the SX10 and it is a worthwhile upgrade if you're a fan of this line like we are. It is a bit larger but still light and compact compared to a DSLR. The increase in lens range is nice and they changed the lens cap to an internal design that doesn't pop off when you turn it on. I can't remember if the S5 is this way? Also has a hot shoe in addition to the pop-up flash and low-light capability seems much better. Both the LCD monitor and electronic viewfinder are larger and brighter. This is the best E-viewfinder I've seen yet. My opinion - best "Bridge" camera out there for the money.
Problems: None so far
