I paid 199 for mine on EBAY,In the 2 nonths I have had it,I have taken many great photos with it. I use this camera when my DSLR is too much to carry. This camera is well shaped and slides right in my pocket. Very little noise up to 800 iso. What is important with any camera is the pictures, and this camera takes excellent ones. I am also pleased wih the cameras picture to pictue speed. For more challenging exposures or available light I would use my DSLR. I have only used video mode a few ...

Best HD camera on the market in it's price range. The image quality is better than any consumer DV video camera. I used to own the SX200 which is better in a way in that it has a longer lens and exposure lock in video mode which the Ixus 110 doesn't. That said I much prefer this little camera, as it's a lot more compact, has a faster f2.8 (wide) lens and it's macro mode appears to work a lot better also. Less chromatic aberration than the SX200 also. Recommended! Problems: No.

Very similar to other Canon SD9x0IS models in terms of IQ and HD 720P video. I compared this back to back with a Pansonic Lumix ZR1 and both take excellent pictures and captured HD movies in 720P at 30fps. Both are very similar in terms of size, cost and performance. The big difference can be easily seen when taking video. The Canon is much brighter and colors and gradients smoother than the Panny. It must be a factor of the aperture size since when zoom in with both camera's and the ...

*Disappointing sharpness in videos, stills seemed fine.* I upgraded to this from an IXUS 80 IS (Powershot SD1100 IS). The 720P video appealed, and being H.264 at almost 25 megabit it theoretically has better technical capabilities of many professional video cameras. You can at least trust that in terms of compression artefacts (blocking and mosquito noise), your camera will be a step ahead of the pack. Of course, it still has the lens and single sensor of a cheap compact digital camera, so ...

I am completely disappointed in this camera. I have owned and was very pleased with the A620 and 630. My A630 was recently broken and this was supposed to be the replacement. The ONLY good thing I have to say about the camera is the construction is top notch. I chose the 960 because of the wide angle lens and HD video capability. See below: Problems: -Awful CA -Very soft images with lots of obvious noise reduction even in bright conditions. -Absolutely TERRIBLE blue vertical banding in low ...

An excellent little snapper that fits easily into your pocket with the added benefit of 720 HDI. I have had mine since first released and I have some great photos shot simply using auto supporting my view that for a versatile, compact and durable camera this is the one to go for, for most who need a camera with them while out with the family but do not want to lug the DSLR around. Problems: There are only 2 issues I have found both of which can be easily overcome. 1) Because of the size it is ...

If you are looking for a wideangle camera with HD-video-feature, you won't find a better camera currently. If HD-video is not important to you, you may as well look for some older Canon models or go after the Fuji F200. Colour and image handling in the SD960 is better than its competitors. If you are skillful in adjusting the image parameters (contrast, saturation, sharpness) according to the light situation you will get the best results in video and still image. I wish it had RAW and some ...

Europe name - Canon Ixus 110 IS I bought this camera for my wife, before this camera she owned a Samsung NV10 (myself 5D). I have to say that for this range the camera makes good quality pictures, not excellent, Ixux 70 made better foto's to mu opinion (i could be wrong). That is makes good photo's is important, but above of all, the ease if use is really excellent! The device let controll itself very simple with those few buttons that is have. I can compare this to Ixus 90, that's a horrible ...

Am impressed with the SD960 IS! Others have stated that there are like in so many cases too many pixels on a too small chip. After using the SD960 for I while, I would like to provide a more differentiated judgement on image quality. Noise is a real issue, when light conditions are not perfect. However under normal light the resolution of the camera is sensational for its small size. Love to use it for portraits in daylight or with flash.

As a photo camera SD960 IS is pretty good. But if you want to take video, then make sure you are a video expert! I want to buy a newer P&S for shooting 720p video, H264 compression sounds good to me (better than Nikon D90, motion jpeg). But I am having a hard time to transcode the video to lower bit-rate before upload to youtube or facebook. Also, after I installed the correct video codec, I still find the video choppy on my dual-core computer with 2GB memory... my CPU usage is only 50%. ...
