Love them or hate them, Canon makes compact cameras that do exactly what they should; take good pictures in a range of conditions with the minimum of fuss. The SD880 IS (Ixus 870 IS) is an enjoyable camera to use, has a sensible range of features (including a nice 28-112mm wide zoom and a 3.0 inch screen) and - despite the relatively low pixel count - produces some of the best results in its class. It has more than a dash of style, is fast and responsive and small enough to carry with you anywhere you go.

Opinion: Un 860is avec plus de pixels, et moins de fonctions.
Autonomie, et Ergonomie en proprets.

Problems: - Vidéos au format MOV plus lourd, que les AVI du 860 !!!
- des fonctions du 860is, ne sont plus présentes !?!
- les 10 millions de pixels ne justifie pas le passage du 860 vers ce nouveau 870, en terme de qualité d'image.
Opinion: Very good video quality for this camera, the photo quality is 'ok', not great.
Problems: Too much noise, my old Canon s40 produces better pictures.

Opinion: This is a great little camera because it allows you to have lots of control on how you want to take your photo. You can switch into manual settings and automatic settings, and customize the image you want with multiple features. Its wide angle lens is great for capturing a professional level photo, and the image stabilization feature captures the moment. The screen is a great size for viewing the images. And the battery lasts a long time too. Compared to carrying a big bulky SLR, the sd880is is easy to carry around in your pocket. I have had this camera for two weeks now and I love it. I don't think you could go wrong with this cool little camera.
Problems: Not really. Its pretty impressive.
