Opinion: I've owned this little thing for more than a year. Generally, I'm quite happy with it, small, light, sleek. Furthermore, I love the 3inch wide screen. Actually I don't really quite understand why people needed viewfinder. The 3inch screen is very clear even under bright sunlight.

The structure is very good. It feels solid. Very prompt reactions. It is very easy to operate too. Best suites biginners like myself.

However, the only thing I'm not very happy with it is that it dosen't have image stabilizer. Although the image quality out of this camera is already considered quite good, I like to ake candid shots so I think image stabilizer is quite important to me.

I've did some tests on the Sony Cybershot W120(own by my Dad and with IS) and I really find image stabilization very useful in taking moving objects. My Dad has asked me to get Sony instead but I'm quite a big fan of Canon so yup. I'm quite confident with Canon products. Maybe I should try IXUS 90 IS.

Problems: I wouldn't call it a problem but just something that I think the camera deserves. It dosen't have image stabilizer which would come to be very useful when taking moving objects or candid shots.

Afterall, this camera is worth buying.

Opinion: It is...what it is! An excellent "carry around" pocket digital camera. It's not a Nikon D/40 or D/50 and it's not a Rollei TLR! You can't beat it for the price. I purchased mine at Adorama (refurbished) for a Great price. I read some of the previous reviews and had to laugh as it's obvious some folks are feeble when it comes to camera knowledge. One guy whining about lack of IS! Well, the specs indicate no IS, so why did he buy it? Hard to figure people! Anyway, if you want a neat compact digital for that unexpected shot, when you don't have your big camera...this is your baby!

Problems: None

Opinion: Camera is only as good as pics it takes. I bought one to send as a gift, tested it quickly: image center pretty sharp; edges soft, right bottom corner in particular - completely unsharp, a disaster. I read all the users' reviews almost all enthusiastic, bought another one, tested it; the same problem. Am I so unlucky, or is Canon producing crap and the reviewer don't know what to look for: decent, uniform from corner to corner image? Bought SD1000. It supposed to have the same lens as 750. Somehow it was better. Not perfect, but better.

Problems: Image edges unsharp. Right bottom corner totally inacceptable. Sharpness at longer focal lenths quiet poor.

Opinion: Bought two of them, one for each of my kids. The first reactions from them were WOW check out the this picture. The camera is small enough for a pocket and quick to take a shot. For the size and price of this compact I am extremly satisfied. Picture quality has depth and color. Oh and they love the video too.

Problems: 32MB card that comes with it is too small. In todays time a 1GB card would be more in line.

Opinion: SD750 fixed the slice in my golf swing!

Not really, but the SD750 shoots a nice video. I just set it behind me at the driving range and taped my swing. With frame-by-frame and slow-mo on the viewer, I got a good look at my swing, did change a few things and now only half my shots go into the weeds.

Meanwhile, it's always taken good pictures for a pocket cam. I carry it with me when I use my DSLR's and in good light, it can match up. I'm not going to capture hawks in flight, 6 second drag racers, college basketball with it. I'd get a G9 or something with lots of manual controls for that.

It's not a camera for shooting in the dark, but I have set it on a mini-tripod and shot scenes lit by a candle. Sure, it comes out grainy, but run it thru noise removal software and it cleans up really well.

Anyway, I'm happy with it. I might even have been happier with the SD1000 which was $50 cheaper.

Opinion: I love everything about this camera....except the pictures it takes. I bought this to replace an SD450 I lost, and I've been regretting it ever since. Please save your money and buy a camera with image stabilization.

Problems: Over 50% of all pictures come out blurry.
Noise is present even in images taken in full sunlight.
Pictures taken indoors (even w/flash) are EXTREMELY noisy.

Opinion: In England this camera is the Ixus 75. I have one and the mother-in-law has one. Both cameras on the the whole are excellent and well worth the money. The camera is easy to use, compact and gives fairly good results all round.

I am however very very surprised to see that nowhere on the reviews have anyone mentioned the red eye on this camera! It is like having no red eye reduction at all. Nearly all of my evening pictures have really bad red eye, it is the same with the mother-in-law's Ixus 75. It goes without saying that the red eye reduction is switched on.
I would be interested to know if anyone else had any comments on the red eye redunction on this camera model?

Problems: Red eye reduction doesn't seem to work very well at all.
Also, the lack of battery meter is a bit of a pain.

Opinion: Bought this about 3 weeks ago on a cruise and have snapped about 900 shots since. Extremely happy with the useability and quality of the pictures. My other camera is a Pentax KD100 and the SD750 is comparable picture quality. Battery life is good, usally went all day 200 - 300 shots with 1GB card on highest resolution and picture quality. 3" Screen is great, on camera editing and other features are great. Auto White Balance is very good and accurate under all lighting even artificial and low light conditions. The flash charges very quickly in between pictures. Movie mode is very good quality picture, sound could be better quality, a bit quiet and tinny. Very robustly made, can't believe they can pack so much camera into such a small space, great for dropping into a pocket when travelling.

Problems: Pictures above ISO400 are very noisy in low light.
Instruction manual is terrible but about 1Hr of playing and all the functions become apparent.
No battery meter.
No shake reduction.
No manual shutter speed selection.
Pictures not very sharp at full digital zoom, just being picky with this one.

Opinion: I have an SD750 for over two years now (as of 30 Dec 09), and I would have to say that it's not as good as it should have been, even considering its relatively small size (the shortcomings of my particular copy of the SD750 became apparent after I purchased an SD1200 is to replace the SD750). And small digital cameras cannot compare to a larger digital SLR camera - but then again, it isn't meant to be. The SD750's noise is reasonable at up to ISO 400; in fact, the noise appears less annoying at ISO 400 than with some other Canon compact digital cameras with the same-size sensor due to its noise reduction alogarithm, which smooths out some of the noise at some expense in sharpness (as opposed to some other compact digital cameras which favor apparent sharpness at the expense of noise). And what made it worse is that the lens on my particular copy yields terrible results around the edges of the images. Oh, well; you can't have everything.

Problems: --It has no viewfinder of any kind, forcing one to always use the large 3" LCD for all shooting
