Opinion: I normally carry and shoot Pro cameras; however I have for sometime wanted a camera I can throw in my briefcase for those personal grab shots that just happen. This camera really fills that void for me. The camera generates great exposures and has many features that a somewhat advanced amateur could really use; most notable the scene selections.

Images thus far have exceeded expectations.

Video quality is really far better than expected.

Problems: None so far (crossing fingers).

Opinion: You can't go wrong with canon,
the screen is nice and big.
the colors very good.
the software very good.
after trying few compact cameras for compact size
this is the one to take

Problems: 1-noise zoom more then the other that I tried
2-you have to except the picture quality it's not the D1

Opinion: Solid construction, very easy to use, useful & well thought out scene selection modes. Very good flash for such a compact camera. Symbols complemented with language, so you don't have to remember what they all mean! Very nice 2.5 inch digital display - the small viewfinder is not much use. Great choice as a second, carry everywhere camera for a serious photographer, but not too much manual control. Fabulous for travel. >7MPixels - leave the digital zoom switched off!
Seriously impressed.

Problems: None - very happy with my purchase & allows for those times when I'm not lugging around my Nikon D70 plus lenses.

Opinion: Solid easy to use. Cannon has been doing this line long enough - and this one has everything you could want. They got it right . . . with class.

Problems: None
