Opinion: I've had this camera for almost a year. Imaging side is not stellar, but quite allright, but wireless as it's main feature is somewhat disappointing. Wifi only works under XP SP2 and it's depended on canon's utilities. There is no vista support even after a year after it's launch, so I think there aren't going to be any updates for vista.

Problems: Wifi is almost useless with support for only XP SP2

Opinion: This is my 3rd elph camera and they are making them better and better! It is thinner then my s230 so it now really fits well in my pocket. I'm a bit sad that you need Canon software to use the wireless feature; mayby I will find a workaround latter! Like the fact that they switch to standard cable instead of that propriatory cable I have with my s203. Also like the grid on the screen. It is also really fast/easy to switch between various picture resolution. I like it a lot so far (got it yesterday!!!).

Problems: Wasn't able to make the wireless work yet but I read somewere that installing Zoombrowser 5.8 would fix the problem

Opinion: Have used this camera for about 9 months. I guess I was a bit lucky, because I had the camera connected within 30 minutes at first try.

The battery capacity surprised me. Even though each picture was transfered by wi-fi from the camera to my laptop, it was able to take more than 200 pictures.

I really love that I am able to watch the "viewfinder" on my laptop and control zoom, shutter and all other features
remotely.
It is nice to have to photos transferred automatically to the pc, but I would rather have the option to only store on the camera, which I guess would make the time in between shots shorter.

Opinion: I decided to buy this camera for my wife. It's a small camera, confortable to keep it in your pocket.
Now I have a Nikon D50, after using Oly C765 and Kodak 6200.
SD430 is fast enough and has good image quality for such camera.
Only bad thing is that I cannot make it to work on wireless with my computer=3 points for features (I work in networking).
Also the LCD is not so good, worst than c765.

Problems: Wireless doesn't work (yet).
