Good. BUT NOT PERFECT !...................................... Very good camera. Really nice results especially in dark. Perfect that Canon add special mode (high ISO at 1/4 resolution) for these purposes which is available on selection rotary wheel. I am sure you will use this feature very often. Okay there is some loose of details but picture at all looks nice. Precise construction with excellent display. What is funny is that pictures looks much better on it's display than on PC monitors. ...

I love this camera. I only use a compact camera and I carry mine with me all the time. I get much better photographs with this camera than with other compacts I have used. The prices was a bit steep, but the photos are worth it. I hope that the number of cameras available in this class increases as seems to be the case. Problems: The problems and weaknesses are the same one's noted in DPreview's in-depth review of the camera.

Own the S90 for a month now and saw a lot of option. Most users are not comfortable with the flash which pops up where the left hand in on the camera. Need to play with the camera a lot before knowing all the options. The shift mode option is not logical to most western users. Somehow East doesn't meet West by logical ergonomics use. Feel disappointed and badly informed regarding the f:2.0 aperture and the outer ring around the lens didn't satisfied my expectancy and left me with envying for ...

Now is the best compact digital camera on the market. It costs too much. Problems: I bought it twice, the first time with dead pixels. Replaced. The last one has LCD problems.

I have had it for about 3 weeks now. While the camera overall is nicely built and has a number of features, I think that if dpreview had posted a review in time indicating its shortcomings, most probably I would not have bought it. But unfortunately the only review available was at that time the one of photographyblog and that was glowing... This is certainly a good camera for snaps, but it doesn't go much beyond that. The focus is reasonably fast and the overall ease of use is also ok, but ...

Just bought the S90 today to replace my G9 that got damaged. Am not impressed - images are very soft down left side of lens and overall blur is not acceptable. Have had S50 and S70 in the past and these were fabulous cameras when used in RAW mode. My G9 which could produce noisey images was far better than this S90. Might call it a day and go for the G11 - better the devil you sort of know! I feel a bit demoralised. Update:- Got the G11 - different ball game altogether. Maybe my S90 was a ...

no noise at iso 1600 or 3200? Problems: I can't believe the DP sample pix from this camera. iso 1600 or 3200 have no noise, even with a full download. If this is true, it beats my rebel xt with a f1.7 prime. Is this possible? It could not be the hardware, so is this the software?

Got my S90 a few days ago, and must say I am very happy with it, maybe even happier than I expected/wanted to be. It's mission is to be a carry-everywhere camera, and it certainly succeeds in that. My serious camera is a 5D (mk 1), which I love, but there are many times/places it's just too heavy and bulky to take it and it's lens(es) with me. I like having "proper" modes (P, A, S, M) on the S90, and it's nice to have raw available. Don't care about no HD movie mode. The screen on the ...
