Canon PowerShot S3 IS

It's my first time posting, and since I've been having problems on deciding, I figured asking advice would help? I've had my S3 IS since it came out in 2006, and while it's been lovely to use, it needs replacing. Last year the battery life (has four AA batteries, I used NiMH rechargeable mostly) started lasting only a few hours when before it would generally go several days with daily use, and compared to other newer point and shoots you can pretty much see its age. While I'd love to upgrade...
