Hi, I have a Powershot S90 (might upgrade to a more recent Sxxx model soon though), I am looking for an external flash to use with it. I also have a Canon DSLR and Speedlites 430EX and 580EX but I'd rather not go the Sonia trigger route. I am now considering buying the YongNuo YN-565EX or YN-568EX to use with my DSLR as another ETTL flash in wireless mode. However, I am wondering if the YongNuo flashes could be used as optical slaves for my S90 -- in dumb manual mode of course (e.g. to bounce...

What is this dongle at the end of my Camera strap? Anyone have any idea how to use it?

I am most likely purchasing a Canon S100, and thought it might be a good idea to get a grip along with it. From my research, it looks like the only company that makes these adhesive grips is Flipbac? Are these products any good? And do they leave any damage to the camera if removed? Also, which model of grip works best for the S100/S110, I noticed that they have a few to pick from. And if you happen to be the owner of one, pictures of the camera with the grip attached are very welcomed!Thank...

Hello, I'm not trying to start any product flame wars (disclaimer, I also posted on the Canon forum), but I have $299 to spend and want a pocketable camera to take when I am not taking my DSLR. It has to have great image quality, a fast lens (f2.0 or faster), and no lens cap (covers the lens by itself). It also needs to take good quality video (just 720p but nice quality including indoors).I have narrowed it down to the LX7 ($299 at B&H - great price!) or the Canon S100 ($250 at B&H, nearly...

Hello, I would like a small compact camera to complement my DSLR. I'm normally a Canon user, but will consider other brands. I want it pocketable (technically it doesn't have to be a "compact" as long as it is easily pocketable), and image quality is the #1 criteria - good image quality with accurate colours. I also need a fast lens so it can take indoor shots well without flash. f2.0 or faster. Lastly it is for taking short videos of the kids, I like taking 30 second videos that capture...

I am considering using a class 10 micro-SD card in a SD-adapter for my camera that requires a class 6 card (it shoots 5-6 fps & video).

I dropped my s100 yesterday (while wearing a wrist strap) and cracked the screen. Here in the UK my estimated price to fix is about £70. However I asked if the lens issue could be fixed at the same time as my camera is within the faulty batch numbers. I was told the screen will be fixed here in Glasgow but they have to send it to Germany for the lens fix. Do you think Canon will fix it as it has not yet gone faulty? I don't wan't to send it all that way and be told there is nothing wrong with...

Just purchased a new powershot S100 during a black friday sale!!  I've been hearing a lot of mixed reviews regarding image quality variation between units.I think at 100% zoom my images look a lot noisier than they should be given all that I've read about this camera.Am I just spoiled by DSLR pics or do these look noisier than they should be at ISO 80?  I'm not sure yet if I should return the camera. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hell everyone, I need a little help deciding on a camera. I currently have a Canon powershot SD1100 IS, which is a few years old (the reason I'm looking to upgrade). It's been a pretty decent camera to me but isn't really cutting it for me for most of my needs.I'm looking for something pocketable (so point&shoot), under $300, decent zoom, with HD video and quality photos.. The main selling point for me is whether or not I can take decent photos & videos at concerts with it. I understand that...
