Opinion: Nice Camera for beginers.

Problems: 1. I use only NiMH accus AA. Information about low batteries is shown after about 50 pictures. But I made _next_ 550 pictures! On BRAND NEW GP, Sanyo or Energizer. You will never know when your accus are empty or not, what outside home can be very unpleasant.

2. Not working at all even on expensive accus which are in good condition. They MUST be in excellent condition - just brand new. Electronic construction is made only for batteries, which have higher voltage than accus.

This is in many cameras A560. So this is wrong engineering construction. Not correctable by service. Don't expect miracles for that prise - just cheep camera for beginners.

Opinion: I got this for my parents to use, it was their first digital camera. Since I own a canon Digital Rebel I got them a canon. Doesn't take bad pictures, but not as good as my wifes Kodak 5mp. The video quality is amazing for a camera in this price range. But for $140 my parents are happy. I might pick one up for snap shots when I don't want carry my DSLR and lenses.

Problems: It has a delay when taking pictures, and Auto mode uses too high of an ISO resulting in grainy pictures. But in manual mode ISO80 the pictures are ok.

Opinion: It's a very light, nicely designed, and very simple camera. Got it for my 11-year-old for Christmas but have enjoyed shooting stills and very decent video since it was opened up.
Best of all, my daughter has got it completely sussed and loves using it. Of course it works perfectly with iPhoto, so that's half the battle for her. The screen is good... no problems with daylight washing it out. Too bad it doesn't pop out and swivel like my old G3, but that's progress, I guess. Battery life is merely okay, but Amazon has a special on the camera with a free Canon battery charger (including 4 rechargeable NiMH batteries) for about $135. I added a 2Gb Kingston card and totaled out the package for just $150 including shipping.

Problems: None so far, except she now has 3 Megapixels more than my own point and shoot... still, the old G3 manages to take better shots and is much more controllable.

Opinion: This is one camera the will put all the others to shame, is it the best in the market,,??? no,,, far from it, but being able to purchase this camera for $123.99 from dell with free shipping and dropping couple of AA batteries, and start shooting with very decent resolution with the included SD memory card is a tremendous bargain.
This is one great package, full of futures, face detection technology etc. And Staples is promotoing it for $149.00 with 1GB SD memory card, it even comes with batteries.
I have been shooting with high end DSLR's and Compact digitals for over 10years now. This is one camera that I'm thinking of buying a few more at this price and storing it away, it will either become a classic or I will eventually use it when my current one breaks down.

Problems: none so far, close your eyes and buy this camera.

Opinion: Well.....the no manual settings for TV or AV.....sucks bigtime. The LCD is big, but has low resolution. Easy to use camera, with good video.

Opinion: Takes good pictures after figuring out all the symbols and menues. Was disapointed that I couldnt make LCD screen brighter for daylight shots. Much to difficult for me to see screen on normaI bright day.I was going to take it back for that reason. My grandson said he woulld like a camera. Now he has one. Only $175 and worth it if you dont mind the dim screen (outdoors only). I'll let the 10 yr old figure out the manual for himself. He likes puzzles.

Problems: The battery door could be a lot better. Batteries can slide out when you open door. A release is better.

Wish it came with a compact carry case. Its hard to find one that fits just right.

Takes good 640x480 movies that consume memory fast
