Opinion: I bought one for me 10 year old daugther and she's enjoyed it for the last 2 years. It gets very rough treatment and it just doesn't break. She surprises me everytime with the quality of pictures. I am and will always be a Canon fan
Problems: None whatsoever
Opinion: I do have A480.It is cool compact camera because it has 10MP n 3.3x optical zoom...n it's easy to set the scenery n white balance..
Problems: nope..just a little problem such as noise will look more when u didn't use flash at place that have a lot of light support..
Opinion: Pros:
Excellent image quality, Good battery life, Ease of use, Price.
Cons:
No image stabilization, Slow flash recycle time.
Opinion: I Got this Camera as my second Point and shoot as I can't
carry on my Big DSLR one everywhere with me.
I tried many point and shoot cameras during the last year,
but this small Canon was the best of the best.
It is a very user friendly interface, Excellent image quality,
fast boot up , fast-in-operation camera, This Camera really
worth its price and really makes wanna shoot everything in
your way
Problems: No problem, although I read many reviews saying, bad
power consumption which is not true with a couple of
2200+ mA NiMH batteries. Also the LCD is a little
Dotty/Grainy, while it makes me love it more and more, It
is just a Camera who needs a television.
Opinion: Excellent "pocket" digital for when DSLR too cumbersome, bought on impulse at half price on a discount website, has been an outstanding success. The built in flash seems to adjust to range/conditions just like my EOS' Speedlight
Problems: Nil encountered
Opinion: Bought 2 units, 1 already out of order after 1 month of use, had to send back for repair. Not happy about this model. Would stick with Panasonic cameras as they seem better built.
My first canons of this type - would be my last too... :(
Would not recommend it to anyone. I asked Canon to replace it with a better model but they refuse, even if I offered to pay for the difference.
Problems: Battery running out very quickly
Easily broken
slow when flash recharging
Low value for money
Opinion: Bought for my mother! I found the LCD sure does the no justice for the camera. High ISO noise... In Auto, the Camera just focuses where ever it wants. And i found the buttons to be kind of loose and cheap... Get what you pay for...
Problems: No
Opinion: I bought the 480 for day to day use when bring a DSLR would not be easy or too high a risk. (Motorcycle trip)
This is a simple point and shoot camera with a great senor on it. I was stunned at the pictures that this little camera can capture. It is simple to use and strait forward. The fact that it runs on AA Batteries is also a feature that I was looking for.
Problems: I have had only one problem and this was a lens error. Something with the gears inside. The unit was swapped out with out issues the the retailer I bought it from.
