Excellent little camera for the money. For $130, you get a basic 4mp camera with 4X optical zoom, plus your basic VGA movie mode, exposure compensation, macro/landscape mode. Controls are simple and easy to use. Image quality is great for outdoors. Indoors and higher iso pictures not so good. Battery life with two 2000 mah rechargeable batteries is excellent. I can get over 800 pictures with a 1Gb SD card. The start up time is fast, but shot-shot time is a little slow. For a cheap ...

I buyed this camera this Christmas for my grandparents(both 68 years old and have no computer). This is a good and simple camera. It makes nices pics and movies. In higher ISO settings the pictures are a bit noisy but it doesn´t really matter. Overall the best camera for people which cannot handle some complex camera with a lot of manual controls. Problems: Build quality of the case isn´t so solid compared to the A400. Don´t expect too much from this camera, it is for photo-beginners.

This is an easy-to-use camera that produces great pictures. I bought the camersa in the Czech Republic and as a result got a user manual in Czeck - but I found I could set up and use the camera with no problems. (There is an english language manual on the supplied CD). It powers up and down fairly quickly but can be a little slow in saving pictures to the memory card. Having a viewfinder is a must - it enables you to steady the camera against your face when taking protos and it saves on ...

Beginner will be happy with this great 4MP camera, with 4x zoom, optical viewvinder, selectable ISO, scene modes, and VGA movie mode (with sound). But novice and amateur photographer must beware of the lens since at wideangle is not so wide, and long-end is slower than others. Problems: None so far

I have been using a Canon S45 for a few years. I wanted a bit smaller camera that ran on AA batteries instead of a propriatary battery pack. The A430 has some good features. 1. Quick start up time. 2. A quality lens and Good zoom. 3. Fairly compact for a camera that runs on AA's. 4. Canon quality images. 5. Movie mode and good sound capture. 6. Good variety of picture shooting modes and settings. 7. Optical viewfinder with zoom. The camera does not have, 1. Shutter or apreature priority. You ...

Purchased this camera for my wife as she doesn't like the weight of my S2IS. She wanted a camera that was lightweight, easy to use, built-in flash, and zoom. I wanted something that used regular batteries, would work with SD cards, at least 3MP, had a viewfinder as well as LCD panel, reasonable response time, inexpensive and reliable manufacturer. This was the perfect camera - bought from CircuitCity at $140 (online with store pickup). The two downsides I've experienced so far are: - the ...
