Opinion: this is second digital camera I own, it has all the features that a average users needed.

Problems: the screen is too small, not as good as canon d-100

Opinion: I have searched, and searched and researched, fiddled and fondled just about all the current crop...and just happened to stumble upon this little baby at Best Buy. Took me all of 5 minutes with the A20 and I knew this was my next camera. What a nice little handful! It's truely a takealong package that delivers great pictures. The folks at Canon have done their homework. They knew what I wanted:

(1) Circa 2.1 Mpixels (more than adequate for good looking pictures, and keeps the file size reasonable)
(2) Takealong size (slips nicely in a waist pouch)
(3) Automatic lens cover (turn on, point, and shoot)
(4) Burst mode (reasonable sequence speed and number of frames)
(5) AA batteries (no proprietary packs)
(6) FC
(7) Bright, easy to view LCD
(8) Easy to navigate menu system
(9) Not too many buttons (I like the confirmation beep)
(10)Touch and hold for power on precludes accidents)
(10)Optical viewfinder that you don't have to squint to find ((and bump your glasses on)

The A20 makes the transition from film to digital easy. Opened the box skimmed the manual and I was on my way.

Subjectively, the outdoor image quality is superb; indoor suffers a little, like most cams, with improper lighting.

Considering price-point, form, fit, and function, this is one nice package!

Problems: No Photoshop LE?

Opinion: I was searching for a 2MegPix camera, and i found this model because of the good price related to the supported quality.
I am using this camera for about 2 weeks, and THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED.
You don´t need a Nikon !
This is a very good alternative!

Problems: No Problems at this time, and i hope also in the future !

Opinion: I spent a lot of time reviewing all the different 2 megapixel cameras. This one is the one I decided to buy. Canon has an excellent reputation for picture quality, and this camera is no exception. I have printed beautiful 8x10's on my Epson Stylus 870 from pictures I took on this camera. I have only used it for 1 week now. Not sure about the battery life yet. I will give an update later. However, so far this camera has far exceeded my expectations for picture quality, and number of features. I love it.

Problems: none
