This was my first digital camera. It was great to have one, and it was fairly cheap, but to consider it today you should have it for free, nothing less. The best use I have had for it is close-up shots. With some luck, it can take nice photos at short distance, at least if you take several. Its most positive point is that the menus are easy to navigate and you can select fixed focus, which is very handy in situations where the camera can't focus. The software, Agfa Photowise, is a nice ...

I had exactly the same problems, as above. The first camera was changed with another, because of the batteries. It used 4 batteries in 1 minut ! Problems: It still use batteries very fast, especially with the blitz on. Now I have changed my OS from Win ME to XP - and the driver (USB) wont work. Now I'll try the serial connection, but I dont think this will work either ? I had to reinstall ME to use my camera.

Camera generally took lousy pictures, except for close-ups in macro mode, which were surprisingly good. Problems: Camera melted down when I used the AC adapter with batteries. AGFA support sucked. Battery life was pathetic. Shutter speed was very slow, making it difficult to get a clear shot without a tripod.

I paid way too much for this box, but I loved it. I found it a great introduction to digital photography. There seemed like nothing the lens couldn't deal with (although exposure was another issue). The image quality was far better than I could have hoped for. If it wasn't for the stupid-shaped oversized and bulky body I'd carry it in my pocket to this day. A faithful assistant! Problems: Can be slow, especially with large or full CF cards - up to 20secs to set the shot! Battery consumption ...

I only bought the camera yesterday but already, I have learnt how to use all of the features. Problems: The only real problem is battery usage but in the UK, i have seen a set containing 4 rechargable batteries and a charger for UK£15.

This was my first digital camera, and although it was decent value for money in -99, it is not much left. On the positive side, it is pretty good at close-up shots. Best used outdoors (so you can turn the flash off) with manual focus. Buy it for your kids if you get it really cheap. Good software (PhotoWise). Problems: This camera is SLOW! Auto-focus is slow, flash charging is painfully slow. Poor battery life. Construction isn't as good at it may seem: The battery lid broke after a bump that ...
