I'm contemplating adding high speed sync flash in to my shooting again.  I used to shoot the HVL-F58 on my A700 with high speed sync and and although I never had much use for it at the time, on camera it worked pretty well.  Nowadays I primarily shoot with A77ii  and have a set of Yongnuo flashes and trigger that I really like but they are all manual and max sync is 1/250.  Wondering if anyone has any experience with any high speed sync flash?  Any systems that work with HSS off camera?  I...

I am having back-focus problems and my accessory flash port is broken (the one on the side, not the hot shoe). This is obviously out of warranty and Sony recommends Precision Camera.  Does anyone have experience with these guys? Would you recommend anyone else? Thanks.

Sorry, I know you hate this question but I have a slight dilemma. Until pretty much now I've been using an inherited Konica Minolta Dynax/Maxxum 7D and while it was an extremely good camera when it came out, it's very old compared to current standards, so I need a replacement. I only have Minolta AF lenses. The good/decent ones are the following: - Minolta 50 mm f/1.7 - Sigma 12-24mm EX DG f/4.5-5.6 - Minolta 70-210 f/4 Beercan And a few rubbish ones like the Minolta 28-80mm, a Sigma 70-300mm...

I got a Sony Alpha A700 when they were first released back like 150 years ago, it's getting a bit long in the tooth. With how much the cameras have advanced and the birth of my son in March I've decided to upgrade and pick up a new A77ii to replace it. My A700 came with an SAL18200 kit lens. I'm thinking I will keep it with the camera and put them up on craigslist together. I have the following Sony lens that I will be keeping - SAL70300G(4.5-5.6/70-300 SSM), SAL50F14(1.4/50), and a SAL100M28...

Hello I'm looking for some expert advice on a new DSLR that's great for picture and HD video action sports like rugby and surfing. I'm currently using a compact Canon Powershot SX280HS and I'm keen to upgrade to a better unit. I've reviewed the Sony a6300 and it looks amazing for picture and video quality although it lack touchscreen LCD and apparently the menu is tricky to navigate. However, for under $2000 its looking like the best I've seen so far. The huge 425 phase-detection AF point...

Hi, I need some advice. I am working mainly in the field of architectural photography and exhibitions documentation. I am currently working with the Nikon D800, the Nikon 24 mm pc-e, the Nikon 16-35 mm and many more Nikon lenses. What I really miss in my work is a wide angle lens that will have the shift possibility. Software corrections are good, but not enough for me. Since Nikon do not produce one and somehow it doesn’t look as if they will, I am pretty much left with the option of the...

Hello all, recently upgraded from an a77 to the a7II with kit lense 24-70. I am thinking about buying the LA-EA4 as I have the following full frame lenses: Minolta 50 1.7  KM 28 - 75 2.8 Tamron 90MM macro and APSC A mounts: Zeiss 16-80 Sony 18-200 I also have a nex 6 with the following lenses: e 16-50 e 18-200 e 35 1.8 Would I benefit by buying the adapter, or do my E mount lenses cover the focal lengths that my full frames and A mounts would provide? Even if they did, would I benefit because...

Hello everyone, I'm wondering is it possible to tether the a77II in light room 5 or to use my computer as the camera’s monitor? Light room is stating no camera detected.

I was reading through some of the posts related AF module of A68 & A77ii and found depending on some of the lenses used AF points reduce from 79 to 61. But i never got any clarity on what lenses cause this effect. Is it the case or am i mistaken?
