I shot a wedding this weekend with my A77ii and 16-50. I shot everything in RAW and am now processing more than 200 shots. I like the look of Capture One 'right out of the box', but I haven't figured out how to do a batch of shots--only single images exported to a file. Also haven't been able to figure out how to rename 'Untitled Catalog'. I only have the free version, not the high-priced pro version; and perhaps you can't do these in this version? Thanks for any suggestions.
... From a reputable vendor that is, including sony. After some sufficient research and based on this tamron 70-200 lens I purchased at such a good deal, I have decided to buy the camera. I don't think I will ever get such a good deal from ANY other camera brand based on the bloody quality of the optics in this lens and the price I paid for a 70-200 2.8. I also need a standard zoom range lens, and flash, and tripod, and bag, so this will definitely go up in price, so can you guys...
Hi everyone. Can some of you that own this A001 version of the tamron lens in the sony mount, confirm that it locks focus better after the firmware update on the A77II. The reason why I am asking is because I tested my lens with the body at the store for several minutes. Yeah, is not a lot and I am sure there were a million other settings I could have adjusted to make focus lock better, but the sales guys didn't know much about the camera either. You know, they know more about canon and...
I have an A77mk2 and like to shoot in manual mode. The other day I was preparing a shot and noticed the settings were at around F8, and 1/8 of a second, with an ISO of, I think, 500. I was in bright sunlight. I noticed the rear screen was all white, as soon as I stopped down and shortened the shutter time, the normal scene appeared on the screen (live view). Can a sensor be damage by being exposed to too much light, and how much is too much? Thank you in advance if any one has this...
Hi all, After some advice if you don't mind please! I have been asked to shoot some portrait photos for a friend of mine at my humble abode. I own an A77ii and the stock kit lens (16-50SSM) as well as a 1.8/50SAM lens. I also own a Sony flashgun. I was just wondering if anyone had any definitive settings that I could dial in so I could at least try and achieve a couple of decent photos at least! I will be shooting indoors and hope to take advantage of natural/windows light and have a...
Just purchased 2nd a77 with the kit lens. I will be using both during the same shoot. What is the best way to make sure the new has the same basic settings as the old. Also suggestions for a file naming convention to keep separate for processing. Thanks in advance, Bob
After making the step from the a77 to the a7ii a month ago I have been having great fun shooting again. While I got myself a LEA4 adapter to be able to shoot with the a-mount lenses I already had (35 f/1.4G, 24-70 f/2.8 ZA, 70-200 f/2.8G) I noticed after a week that I got really irritated by the size of the whole set and preferred a much lighter set-up. Got myself a Voigtlander 20mm and 40mm and haven't shot with anything else since. Being an auto-focus / moslty zoom adept my whole life, I...
A little while ago I was using the rear screen in the extended position when the screen flickered, then banded with dark lines, then went out. Now when I try to use it, it will power up, back lighting and all, but will not display anything. No photos, menu information, nothing. I looked up some information on replacing screens, but I don't think the symptoms indicated a bad screen, maybe just a connector. I have a shoot next week in North China so I really don't want to mess around getting it...
I often take sweep panorama images and sometimes it takes a few tries to get the right rotational speed and adjust the zoom level. I'm using a Sigma 18-250 lens. The shutter sounds while taking the sweep panorama are extremely annoying. Not only to me but to other people around me. I have searched for a way to turn this off to no avail. I would prefer no shutter sound at any time because when using continuous shooting drive mode it is just as annoying. I'm presuming the sound is from the a77,...
