I recently acquired an 11200 mAh external external battery pack ("Power Bank") for use with my iPhone. Does anyone know if there would be any risk of damage to my NEX-6 if I use (or try to use) the battery pack to charge my camera battery? Even if there is no risk, will it work? The external charger, an Intocircuit Power Castle etc., claims to have a 5V output. Almost anything concerning electricity is a mystery to me. Thanks, Kermit Ellis --http://www.pbase.com/runcible
I am looking to buy a new camera primarily for my wife and also for my occasional use My hands shake a lot and image stabilization is a big criteria for me. Also I would love to have manual zoom options which I can play around with. outdoors and zoom would be a plus but I am not sure if I can carry around huge lens for that purpose. I have a canon s3 IS and have rarely used it despite the fact that it takes good pictures and videos. My wife (primary user of the camera) could be taking lots of...
I want to photograph myself and significant other during a certain important life event where I get on one knee and ask an important question. I have a wireless remote, but I don't want the distraction of trying to trigger the camera while popping the question. Is there any way to set my NEX-6 to take pictures at a certain interval (every 2 seconds for 5 minutes)? I thought about the timelapse app, but is there a way to pull individual pictures before it's converted into video?
I have been shooting with a Nex-6 and I feel like I have out grown it. There is a crazy good deal on the A-77: $935 includes Sony SAL-1650 lens (lens alone retails $800). What are your guys thought? My goal is to eventually move up to a FF but I don't have the $2k extra at the moment. --If you have a moment please check out my photos:http://500px.com/dbubishttps://www.facebook.com/dbubisphoto
Hi! I'm new to this site, but it seems very helpful, and I thought I'd explain my current dilemma. I have an event coming up on the 24th, at night, and I have no idea how to shoot moving night pictures. So I guess my question would be.. how do take a picture of a moving object at night, and have it come out nice? Thank you in advance! :)
I have a NEX-6 camera with the 16-50 kit lens. I also have a Minolta 50mm legacy lens. I just thought I would check the relative focal lengths of the two lenses. Using the 50mm, I adjusted the distance from a window until it just spanned one of the window panes. I then replaced the lens with the zoom lens and, at the same difference, I adjusted the zoom until the pane was also spanned. .I was surprised that the focal length on the screen of the NEX also showed 50mm. I would have expected...
Hi all,I need some help buying a new camera. This will be my first, more serious camera. For years I used a simple Sony Cybershot compact camera. I want to step up to a more advanced camera now.I want a (relatively small) camera which has the best image quality available for around €500 (I live in the Europe). I want it to shoot nice pictures both in daylight and at night.Because I want it to be small (not necessarily pocketable), I think a mirrorless camera or a high end compact is the way to...
