Apologies for the cryptic title, but it's a tricky thing to ask in one line... So, I'm using a Yongnuo YN-560 II flash with my NEX-6, for macro work, off the camera. I currently use the Yongnuo RF-603 to trigger the flash remotely, which works great and lets you move the flash around wherever you want.  But, using it with the RF trigger like this means the burst mode on the flash doesn't work, I presume because it can't sync with the camera fast enough for repeated triggers  (depending on the...

Frequently when taking  shots of groups of people in landscape mode I get an additional image of 1 of those people in portrait mode. I only press the shutter once. It happens about 30 % of the time but this is not consistent. Any clues as to what causes this? camera is about 3 years old and has happened irregularly since new

Hello everyone! I wan't to buy my first camera, but I'm confused which one to buy. I was looking for Sony A65 and Nex-6. I like mirrorless cameras because they are lighter and more compact, but the DSLR I mentioned has 50% more MP. I'm complete newb at photography and I wan't to learn everything about it. Can you guys help me out? I'll really apprechiate it. Thanks in advance,Nejc

Tired of the blue colour shift in my Nex6, I decided to try CaptureOne again. But when I come to Phaseone's homepage it appears the free version for Sony has been removed and it is now a 30-day trial. Did they remove the free version for Sony users or am I just not finding it?

Hello Everyone. I'm an amateur photographer that I takes pictures mainly when traveling. That`s the reason that I like my A6000(I had Nex5,nex6 before).  I don`t like to carry too many lenses, I like to make it simple, so I bought the SEL18200LE that I use the most of the time, for me was working perfect, and I low light/landscape shoots i use the SEL16F28 that is really small and could be combined with a fisheye adapter. Sadly a few weeks ago my SEL18200LE started to fail (it vibrates all...

Hi All, I have a SONY NEX-6 that I love and bought when my Son was born. He is now nearly 3yrs old and I find that sometimes the camera cannot keep up with him in terms of focusing. It’s too slow and I miss the shot. I have not bought any lenses but do have a flash gun with a hot shoe adapter. I am thinking of changing this to Sony A6000. Few questions I have: 1. Will the A6000 be much faster than the NEX-6 in terms of focus? 2. Is the A6000 to old now and out of date? Is it better I invest...

I have a Nex-6 which I really enjoy using. Last night however, at an event, I found several shots were very dark. Checking the Exposure Compensation dial, I found it had moved to a -5EC position. The setting wheel, which is kind of loose and easily moved, must have moved taking the camera in and out of the camera bag. Is there a way to lock in the functions, like on the a6000? --Charles.http://www.dpreview.com/galleries/9945787145/photosEven though you are on the right track - you will get...

My Nikon D7000 never see's the light of day any more. The NEX6 is always the first camera grabbed. So off to KEH goes the Nikons D7000, 70-200 2.8vr, 16-55 2.8, Speedlight 800. Keeping some older legacy lenses.  With money saved and the trade in I will have a nice budget for a new setup up to $4k... I need to decide on wether to stay APS-C or go FF. The A7 line  has been calling to me since they were introduced. Option 1 is to stay with APS-C, keep the NEX6 and all my current lenses for it,...

I do some photography as extra income, and recently covered a birthday party. The client complained that the pictures were too dark, obviously I disagree. She called another photographer who said they were dark....so I'm beginning to think there's something in it. Is there something wrong with the way I shoot? The lens? How I process them in Lightroom [the photographer said I didn't. I do disclose that I only do minor edits, and not full on photo manipulation, as I don't really like it]. Is...
