Guys, I have a video that I shot and of course, I had no idea what the video settings were. Well, it was shot at max quality so the file is way too big. I tried to convert it but I get some kind of interference looking stuff in the video and I was wondering what settings I should use to convert to? I'm using Any Video Converter and there are a whole bunch of settings there that I have no idea about. Let me know if you have questions that I can answer. Thanks George

So I finally got around to upgrading my NEX-5N to an A7R today, and while playing around with it, I noticed that there is this orange band that would go through my images. I tried shooting with a lens and without, and got these, so don't think it's a lens problem... Shooting with both JPEG and RAW gives me the same results, so I don't think it's a processing issue, either... Any ideas? Any help or speculation as to what the issue is would be much appreciated.

Hi, I'm having the hardest time making a decision here. I'm going to be traveling at the end of the month, and I want to bring the best camera/lens combination that I can. Here's what I have: Sony NEX5N (with firmware update to support the 1650 lens) Sony NEX3N SELP1650 power zoom lens SEL16F28 lens (16mm pancake lens) So, my question is which camera should I bring, and with which lens? I realize a lot of this is subjective, but I'm interested in opinions even if they are just based on...

Sorry, this is going to be a long one... My wife and I have been doing Wedding Videography for a few years now and this year we would like to do photography as well. I've been a second shooter before (using Canon). My wife has done many family/child sessions and this year we will have a couple of paid photography events. Our current gear (I have lots more but selling the rest) includes the following: Sony A7S Panasonic GH4 Panasonic 12-35 2.8 Panasonic/Leica 25mm 1.4 Metabones Nikon to m43...

For about 2 years we have owned a Sony NEX 5n camera, but we found out that changing lenses is not our 'thing' and although we like the image quality and options of the Sony we want to go back to either a compact camera with sufficient zoom or a bridge (although the last ones are a bit chunky). However we do not want to lose too much of what we are used too with the Sony NEX 5n regarding overall image quality. We understand compact camera's have smaller sensors, however we would like to see...

I have a Nex5n with the kit lens and the Zeiss 24mm, I am getting ready to purchase the Zeiss 16-70mm and my question is, should I invest an additional $550 in a A6000 or stick with my NEX5n?

Hi, Currently I have a NEX5n and a NEX6 that I've had since my A77 and NEX3 were stolen. I definitely enjoy their portability (2 camera+lenses in a slingshot). Having become a bit disillusioned with phase AF in the past (for fast primes) fast legacy/new manual glass has seen a lot of use lately. For outdoor in daylight sport / people / movement I've been using the 55-210 with mixed but OKish AF results and for non-quick animals outdoors in daylight the Minolta  MF 300 4,5. Have an LA-EA2 and...

I recall seeing past posts about, for example, the NEX-5N overheating during extended video use. With upcoming holiday sales, was wondering about models in about the $500 and under (dependent on upcoming sale prices): are there certain models that do/don't overheat with extended video use? What about the Alpha 5100 or 6000, in particular?

After 2 years of usage my NEX-5N shows Camera error message on the screen and shutter click sound become double. It is not happening all the time, but it happened sporadically. I check the shutter count and it is only 1.25k. How much can it cost to change shutter? --http://mycasualsnaps.blogspot.com

Hello all, Just a quick question. As you know, IR remote conroller is disabled on cameras before A6000 (such an annoying situation), so my question is, in HDR or bracketing mode, can we trigger the shutter (of nex-5N 5R- 5T-A5100) with shutter release cables that can be easily found in ebay ? (to avoid camera shake) many thanks for answers. Best regards...
